I can say that i am a loyalist of Globe. I have been a Globe subscriber for 7-8 years. I have used Smart number before but I switched back to Globe. Currently, with the 2 Globe numbers I am using, this has been with me for 4 years already. Since those are special numbers like ending in 0000 and very easy to memorize, I dont want to switch number anymore.
How about you? Are you a Globe, Sun, Smart subscriber? Which do you think is the best and cheapest one?

I started with a smart prepaid, then a smart postpaid (special plan 800). However, I gave up my smart postpaid after a bad experience with one of their wireless centers.
I had lost my phone and requested a new sim (since it was postpaid). My first visit, I informed them that the sim was stolen so I had it blocked and needed a replacement. After being told of the requirements, I left to prepare them (it was in the name of my mother). Second visit and already had the requirements, I am told that the sim I needed was not available at that particular office. I needed to go to another branch to be able to get it. So I left and went to that other branch.
While there, had to wait some time and when my turn finally came, they wouldn't release the sim to me. This infuriated me, I had been going back and forth their offices and not once was I told that I couldn't claim (the owner had to make a personal appearace so they say). I walked out of their office and promptly sent a complaint to smart head office. Ever since, my communication had been with the head office rather than the local wireless centers. But that wasn't enough to change my mind, the next day, I went to globe to get a postpaid line.
Stayed on the globe postpaid line for 2 years. While nearing the end of the contract, Globe still hadn't contacted me with an offer of a contract extension (i.e. offer of a free phone to extend contract). The offer of smart was very good (a N70 music edition at Plan 1200 -- it was supposed to be only for Plan 1800). Considering that Smart had dropped its rates significantly (internet browsing and MMS), I switched backed to smart and hoping that things had improved already.
Globe has been left behind in the new technology by smart. They still price their services very high (browsing is still 0.25/KB while smart is now P10 per 30minutes regardless of how much you downloaded). MMS prices of smart is now only P1 for smart to smart (equivalent to the cost of one SMS) while P2 for smart to other network.
Globe 3G service in provincial areas (i.e. here in Davao) is also sorely lagging behind. There was a time I was forced to turn off 3G mode because I couldn't make any calls, I couldn't send SMS (but could receive). A visit to their office only confirmed that their 3G service was indeed crappy.

oh, my company also availed of sun group plan 999. 3 phones and 3 lines all for 999 monthly inclusive of unlimited call and text for sun to sun.
this has saved us a LOT of money as communication with the branches is now done via Sun instead of the regular long distance calls

I have all 3 and all prepaid.
My main phone is Globe because most of my contacts are Globe and they have the best promos. I carry Smart for back-up because they are the most reliable signal wise anywhere in the Phils. Sun Cellular is for more talk time and free texts to my friends and loved ones.

I have two networks. It's smart and sun. Smart is convenient when it comes to traveling because you will always be assured that it has a signal even in the most remote places. However, I use sun if I want more time talking because they this unlimited call services. So, for more convenience, I bring with me 2 cellphones all the time.
