Update on MRI...

I got the results of the MRI and it isn't that great. I have a herniated disk in the base of my neck....My doctor says that an injection is the best thing for it....I don't have an appointment with the doctor who will be doing it but when I do I will let you know...Thank you for thinking about me and praying for me..I am so very glad to have friends like all of you....When I know what and when they are going to do anything I will update again...Thank you again....HUGS

Well, as you say, it isn't great news, but at least it isn't a tumour. How would that have happened? Do you know if it will just be one injection, or a series of them over a period of time? Hope it works, and you can get some normality back in your life! Good luck and hugs to you too!

I don't blame you for being nervous about needles in the neck, I am too and I'm not even having it done! At least they have something they can do that will hopefully make things better for you!

Thank you for your kind thoughts..I don't really know what they are going to do...I don't know how it happened....My hubby probably gave me whiplash....LOL..Okay he didn't but...I have been thinking about it and don't know what I could have done...When I lay down, I am fine. When I stand up or sit my neck starts buzzing and so does my left arm down to my finger tips...I am nervous about them sticking a needle in my neck...VERY SCARY...I need another hug.....Boy, these hugs are fun...Thank you so much and I will keep you posted...

I had a feeling thats what you had. Because of the symptons. I know very well what a herniated disc feels like. I have had 2 repaired and recently I found out I have another one. I hope the shots work out for. Unfortunately they wont work out for me. Your still in my prayers my friend.

Wow! I am so sorry to hear that you have gone through this and are still having trouble..I don't know about the shots but I am nervous about it, especially since it is in my neck area...Thank you for your prayers and you are always in mine too!

Thank you carmel..I am nervous about the whole thing. I layed down most of the day because it feels better when I do and now it is hurting and all because I am up..Thank you so much and I will let you know what happens...

Please get a 2nd or 3rd opinion about alternative treatments. Be strong and let it sink in your subconscious that all will be fine.
Prayer works. My daughter had brain surgery when she was 12-days old. I asked for prayer from everyone. Many churches in our place prayed for her. She is now very healthy and everything is normal.

Isn't a herniated disk rare to have in that area? Leave it to you to have one. LOL. All joking aside, I hope it gets better soon and that shot fixes it.

Actually from what I read it is rare.. They are more commmon in the Lumbar area...I have no idea what may have caused it either. Thank you Brenda..

Finally got your results and glad that you now know what is causing all the pain. I am sorry to hear though that it is a herniated disc, very painful I know as I had one in my lower back late last year. I hope you're able to get good enough treatment for it. I had physio done on my lower back and traction work done on it too and it helped me bigtime. Now that I have also lowered my stress levels and have lost some weight, my back has not given me any trouble since May.

I am glad to hear you are feeling better from yours..Don't quite know what they are going to do...I am nervous about them sticking a needle in my neck though....I do have something going on in my Lumbar area and had therapy on that about 4 years ago..It is coming back though and I have pain in my left front thigh area...Thank you and I will let you know what happens...
