Well it's almost the end of Septmember and I need to chose the book club book for next month for my club. We read alot of different genres and do both fiction and non fiction. Some of the books we have read recently have been, The Kite Runner and The Lovely Bones.
I need your help! Help me pick the book we read next month.

I don't know if you watch Oprah but today she had Sean Penn on. He has just produced a movie that he has wanted to produce for ten years after he read the book. The family, as it is a true story, were not ready at that time for him to make the movie so he waited. The book is called "Into The Wild" by John Krakauer. It sounds like a facinating true story and haven't written the book down on my "to read" list but will probably see the movie first.

That sounds like it could be interesting. I'll have to look into it. Sean Penn usually does some good and it sounds like Oprah is endorsing it so it must be pretty good. Thanks for the tip.

Sean Penn said he read the book cover-to-cover twice in one night. He was attracted to it by the cover alone. The young guy playing the starring role did EVERYTHING himself. No stunt people. And they went to the actual places. They made it as real as the real story. I am looking forward to either the book or the movie.

I suggest reading When The Wind Blows by James Patterson. It was a very interesting book. You should be able to have some great discussions about it in your group.

I recently read Middlesex by Jeffery Eugines, which would make a good book club read. I also think The Memory Keeper's Daughter would be great for a book club. I would just pick a book that you love or have been trying to get a chance to read for a while.
