Do you use social networking to get more clients to your business?

I'm member of several social networking sites. Some of them do not allow you to avertise your business, some of them do. If you have ever used this kind of site, which allows you to advertise your business please share your experience here.
Do you know any sites where you can promote your business for free?

i've presently use this new social networking site which allow you to trade your business to other member in the site at the same you are being paid doing all these things...

I have become addicted to apsense. But I have tried biznetrepenaur before, and I hate this one it is total spam. I do yuwie but I am a little turned off by the meaningless posts like "happy Wednesay". Are there others?
