Hello everyone. I am new to myLot. I am 24 years old, married with 3 kids. I am enrolled to finish my college education at Liberty University. I am pursuing my bachelor's degree in psychology. I take my classes online because of my hectic home schedule. I just enrolled at Liberty and right now I am waiting for my financial aid and transcript to be transferred to them. I was not happy at all with my previous school which is the reason for my transfer. The reason I chose psychology is because of the mental issues we are going through with our son. He is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Bipolar, ADHD, Anxiety disorder, and Sensory Integration Disorder. The reason this led me to psychology is because I want to be able to help parents better understand what is going on with their children. The first psychologist we saw misdiagnosed him and basically told me she did not know what was wrong with him. The psychiatrist and therapist he sees now are great, however, childhood bp is still fairly new and there is a lot that is still unknown about it. I was left in the dark with nothing more than the internet to answer my questions. I want to focus not only on helping the child deal with what they are going through, but also the parents. I live by the motto "Hitting walls and getting scars only makes you who you are," so I guess that really applies here.
