I've recently discovered I like the literary character of Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin and I want to read all the books. Now I'm at 10 titles but I know that there should be nearly 45. I don't know all the titles in English. bye

I think i have read just a couple..At home I only have Rex Stout book, its 'before midnight.' If you were from the Philippines I can give you the book since I'm in the process of selling all of mine. Well I'm sure you can get them from Amazon. About Rex Stout's books, I wasn't so fond with his writing style..I find it so erudite that my poor mind can't cope with it. His style is reminiscent of edgar allan poe and sir conan doyle combined. Much too heavy for a leisure read for me.

Rex Stout's personality is quite puzzling as his life. I think he was a real genius of detective stories and I like his stile, but I must admit that I have read the books in a translation and not in English, so it was very easy to me to read them, I think that it would be different in English, even though I've read some Agata Christie's books, E.A.Poe's tales and poems, and Le Carre's spy stories all of them in English. I have read that he had done a lot of jobs during his life: spanning from the cook to the judge and so on, so his way of writing in English could be influenced by all these experiences he has had... He has created one of the most extraordinary Character in the entire history of novel: THE detective Nero Wolfe, an absolute brain full of vices and gags but the pure intelligence and the real personification of inference and thought completely separated from emotive and indifferent to modes. A really complex personality, the unreachable perfection of logic reasoning in a quite elephantiasic body and a gourmet with the love for flower cultivation... really enjoyable (in my modest opinion). good bye

Hi. I'm not very familiar with this writer but I know he was a very well-known and prolific writer, particularly good at detective novels. Among his 54 works, the Nero Wolfe series is the most eminent and influenceable. I've only heard about "Zeck Trilloge","And Be A Villian","The Second confession" and "In the Best Famillies" but yet have no chance to read them. Really appreciate your endeavour to collect and read all books of Rex Stout and good luck!

I have never heard of these books. Have you looked online? I bet you could find his whole book list on there. Good luck in your search and your future reading.
