Man sends a text message to police.. Wanna buy some reefer!?!

A man in South Charleston West Virginia sent a text message to someone, who he thought was a friend, who turned out to be a police officer.
The state police officer set up a meeting and then charged him with intent to sell, and a few others..
Have you ever sent a text message to the wrong person? What did it cause to happen?

Luckily I've never sent a message to the wrong person myself but it could result in dire consequences obviously. Isn't it entrapment to do something like that though? The Police get away with so much it really isn't fair.
