Why so much war and fighting?

Can't our president just say we don't want to fight anymore and we bring all of our soldiers back home peacefully? I think everybody will be happy then. All we have to learn how to do is share things we don't have like the oil and stuff. What do you think?

Naive at best. There will always be war in some facet. We didn't go to war just to have soldiers away from home, so why leave something unaccomplished or unattended. I'm sure terrorists would be happy about that, but that doesn't solve any problems. The war isn't about "sharing" things.
