So tell me how do you relax? What do you do? Sometimes I like to sit down with a good book and have lots of munchies with me. And other times I like to crotchet a blankett. I also like to watch a good movie with my hubby. Then if I have some extra money around I will spurlge and get a massage. That one is the best.LOL But its costly.LOL So tell me how you relax. I have many ways of relaxing. I either read a book, listen to music while singing, and eat while doing the above. Or i like to watch T.V by myself without any noise at all.

Yeah i love to sing it helps me relax and makes me laugh which i don't do much when I'm stressed out with homework and work. So i try to at least spend 30 minutes a day singing or dancing. It comes easy to me anyways since i am majoring in the performing arts in my school.

Hi TerryZ, I like to relax with a good book too, but I also like to spend some time each day in silence. I just find a quiet place, get comfortable and relax. I try to clear my mind as much as I can and not think of anything. It's difficult, especially at first, as we are not use to just 'being'. The clue here is not to get upset if you find yourself thinking about something you have to do or whatever. Just relax again and start over, it gets easier with time. Remember never 'try to relax', it defeats the whole purpose, just relax. In time it can become a wonderful experience. Remember also that we are human 'beings', not human 'doings', sometimes we just need to 'be'. Hope some of this makes sense to you. Blessings.

Hi TerryZ, usually I relax like you while reading a good book in bed, and eating some nuts while reading, combining these two is doing me a lot of good mentally;)
An other thing I like is grab my camera and go out and about and find some nice looking place in nature where I can take some good shots, like the one attached. Love nature and brings me peace of mind;)

Relax?? Relax?? I don't have time to relax much...LOL--I'm always UP to something....like recently working on two of three grants..still need to do the third, my fall cleaning, and working on that flyer for that pet rescuer...writing articles, short stories
Just kidding..I do take SOME time to relax by taking a nice hot soak in a tub, with candle lit and incense going...then fix a little late night goodie to eat while I plop on one of my DVD movies to watch awhile, then go to bed and cuddle up with a book to read for a bit, that is if Pyewacket allows me to read...he seem to think reading is boring and usually likes to lie on my book while I try to read--but I do this little ritual every night

I relax in a number of different ways...massage is great and thankfully I have a hubby with magic hands that continually help my body relax after being at the computer most of the day. I love hot soaks with Epsom salts within the bubbling jets in our tub. I fill it up, light some candles and incense add bubble bath in a favorite scent put on some calming music and say "ahhhhhhh' as my body sinks into the warm water.
I also have a sanctuary up in our attic filled with special objects that remind me of my spiritual passages. I light candles, lie down, put on contemplative music that stills my mind and I do to that Quiet place Within. Doing yoga helps to bring mind and body to a more relaxing place. Walks in nature help, snuggling with my Sweetie and watching a movie with our 2 dogs and 5 cats.
Dancing and losing myself in the music is another good way for me to find a calm center. Playing computer games, going shopping and visiting friends are all activities that assist me in releasing tension and everyday stressors.

I like to curl up on my sofa under my duvet, with my boyfriend and some chocolate, and watch trashy tv or a movie. It's actually one of my favourite things to do on the weekends!
Other times i enjoy running a steamy hot bubble bath and lighting lots of scented candles and lying back in it until the skin on my fingers and toes goes all wrinkly. Sometimes i even drift off!
