Just because Russia won the gold medal at Eurobasket 2007 in the olympic qualifiers.. and just because he was named MVP .. That he wanted or maybe slighty demanded to be traded to some other team. .. Is that what he is saying that we wants? If that ever happens, sorry for those AK fans out there but what a stupid thing to do! I mean, hello?! The best basketball league in the whole world is the NBA.. Thousands or even millions of basketball players even dreamed of playing in the NBA since they were kids. .But then he wants to go back to his country because they need him there?! And also give up all the $$$$. What a shame. If I were the owner of the Jazz, I will definitely let him go and never consider trading him to some other team . He's not such a big factor at all especially during the playoffs! I'm sorry but I am quite emotional regarding this matter. I used to be a fan of his. Even in their championship game vs. Spain, I was praying with all my might that Russia would win. . and they did. . And now he is acting that way and that he says all he wants to happen. Grrrr.. Just like you, I let him cry and go home! Best of luck to you. I am looking forward to watch the Jazz's games without him.

I think if kirilenko wants to leave, then the jazz should just get rid of him. He is not a huge superstar, and the cap relief this would bring might actually help the jazz in the long run. This is basically a trade request, as he says he wants to leave utah, but would not mind being traded to a different NBA team.

I was listening to sports radio here in utah and he has stated that ( his country needs him) and that he would leave all the money the nba would pay him to go home. i use to be a big fan. not anymore!

I think this might help them anyway, allowing them to sign some new players since he isnt worth the money he's being paid in my opinion.

kirilenko for marion? marion's fantasy value would drop if he get shipped to the jazz..and kirilenko's fantasy value would skyrocket lol but its kirilenko's salary that is getting in the way of him being traded..
