I don't see how the theatres are making any money these days with all the bootlegging going on. Its like four guys at my job that sells bootleg dvd's. They used to be crappy looking but they have gotten better-looking. Is this gonna be a professional business that you can do like locksmithing?

Bootlegging or video piracy is rampant here in my country (Philippines), it almost killed our local entertainment industry and those from abroad.
I am not into these stuffs, they even sell home video game and PC cd's burned or recopied. Our local government has a campaign against this, in hopes that our local industry could still provide more quality entertainment and jobs for those who're working on film companies.

somehow I don't think bootlegging will affect the movie theatres all that much as a lot of people like the whole effect of the theatre but it must impacting on the video seller area, I knew some people who were selling burnt copies of viseos as soon as they came on the market for $10 with great covers and everything, you couldn't tell the difference, personally I don't agree with it, I look at it as stealing so I have never bought one, besides sooner or later you can pick them up in the shops at a reasonable price I think..fair is fair I think...
