Whew , I looked down and saw blood all over my hand today I had emma on my side as usual so I got a little worried I didnt want to put her down till I figured out where the blood was coming from so I began to look to see if she had any blood on her. Sure enough her little hand was bleeding and this is the scariest part I couldnt see her cut just blood and I was trying to be gentle and see where the blood was coming from when I finally cleared it it looked like her finger the pinky was sliced in half but to the good lords blessings it wasnt, thank you lord, it was just a long cut, she never even cried so I dont know when it happened, I hate it when stuff like that happens I feel so bad not knowing where my baby got cut at or what she cut herself on. Am I right to be upset or has this happened to someone else? I mean she was right there with me the whole time and she never cried, I wasnt on the net or watching tv. only thing I can think of was that maybe she cut herself on the ac vent. She is okay and I got the bleeding to stop. I think I was more upset than she was about it.

Thank God Emma is alright. Poor thing cut her hand and she didn't even let out a cry. Even when you are right on top of them, these things unfortunately happen but thank god all is well. I agree that you were probably much more upset than she was especially if she didn't even feel the cut. Poor Emma and poor mommy...

awwww poor emma... You have every right to be upset. thats your little princess. OF course your gonna be concerned scared and freaking out when something happens to her...i kow i would have freaked... i usally do when my daughter gets hurt each time i get more upset then she does... in a way its good, because im so freaked out it takes her mind off the pain and she begins to laugh at me.. a few times i noticed that my daughter would have random cuts on her fingers, i finally realized that one of her toenails was huge! it grew much faster then the rest of them did and she was always playing with her feet that she played with them so much and so roughly that her toenail was giving her a cut and she didnt fuss over it... check her nails... make sure they are short and smooth.. file them if you have to.

Hello wendy. Yes it can be very scarry when your baby gets cut and you can't figure out how or where. i'm surprized that she didn't cry. It may have been a paper cut too. but as long as she is alright.

That must have been awfully scary! For both you and emma. Of course your right to be upset. Your a mother, why wouldnt you have a right to get upset? Since she wasnt crying it obviously didnt hurt little emma. Thank god it turned out good. =)

Oh the poor little thing... I take my hat off to you. You sound like a very good and concerned mother. It makes you feel so terrible when your child is hurt but you dont know when or how it happened. I was cutting my sons nails when he was only 4 months old, and I clipped the top of his finger because he wriggled so much. I panicked when I saw what had happened!!! And I cried more than he did. Luckily my doctor was only across the street from where I lived at the time, and I brought him straight over. The doctor had a look at his finger and said that it was ok, that it was only a little cut. The doctor smiled at me and told me not to worry so much!!! I havent cut his nails since and he is 8 now. I got my mother to do them, and my husband does them now.

Yes it is very scary when that happens! I know exactly what you are talking about. They can be right in front of your eyes and you look away for a split second and boom there it happens. Somehow they get cut. It's just a part of being a parent. Good thing you got the bleeding to stop and sometimes yes, we hurt more than they do hahaha! Even though they are the one with the cut.

Sure honey this kinda thing has happened to me. And of course you were right to panic and worry at first. And not knowing where the cut came from or where it was even at adds to the stress. I'm glad mommy and baby are OK give her big kisses from me.

That is scary! I would have been freaking out too. Glad she is ok. And I am going to second the advise about the finger nails. I don't know how many times mine would cut herself on the face and in other spots when her nails got too long. It took me a while to get in the habit, but I just started cutting them whenever she got out of the bath. Good luck! And try not to pad everything in the house. I almost did! LOL
