Well, when I still lived in Indo, sometimes I watch movies at the theatre, especially blockbusters like Lord of the Rings that would be better off being watched in a big screen complete with surround sound system he he he...
However, since moving to Finland, the ticket to watch a movie at the theatre is SO expensive, so we end up watching movies at home. It's cheaper that way. ;-D

You are right, watching the films at home can save us a lot of money, you haven't to pay for the expensive fees in watching the films in the cinima, and you havn't to follow the instruction the cinima made, you can talk freely, you can pause and forward if you want.you don't need to consider others feeling.hehe.
Thanks for sharing..;-)

I love to go to the cinema, but haven't been for a few months. Mostly we watch movies at home. My husband watches more movies than me, as I don't have time, & I don't like all the movies he watches.

I really don't watch movies much at all anymore, probably due to my short attention span. This past year I've had a hard time sitting still, even though I don't feel very well. There are occasions where I really want to see something in the theater, like a suspense or thriller. Because it's better on a big screen. However, it is getting more expensive to go to the theater, although there are dollar theaters in America. So it's nice to be able to rent a video and watch it when there is nothing else to do, and pause it if you have to go to the bathroom! LOL

I like to go theatre. It's because the sound system is better and the screen is bigger. My player at home just a normal type and no good sound system. If go to theatre,i still can go with my friends.

I'm contented to watch movies at home coz it's much cheaper as well as you can watch it with the whole family and friends. You can discuss whatever your watching when your at home unlike when in theaters you can disturb a lot of people. You can rewind if you miss something and if the movie is boring in one part you can pass forward it.

I much prefer to watch films in the comfort of my own home. Going to the cinema is sooooo expensive now and you get all those trailers, you get annoying people and noisy people who always choose to sit in front of you or near you, mobiles go off, people noisily eating, I know you get the advantage of the big big screen but for me there are too many cons than pros! I can't remember the last time I went to the cinema, probably last July!!! Food is also very high priced in the cinema and I don't like popcorn. No definitely movies at home win hands down.

hi molly, I like it at both places, but movies are nice to see at home, because then you can have the best seat and eat the best food! haha.
I just watched a British movie from 1966... it was called "Blow-Up". It was about photographer (not bombs). It was in London and was very interesting and less speaking which is nice to me. I reccomend it, even that it was is old. take care.

yes, it was directed by Italian director named Antonini, rather famous in 60's and 70's but quiet and slow movies, so expect no hollywood action.

while we are at the cinema we can enjoy the big screen, which can provide us the most vivid scene.

Hello Molly! Thank you for asking to be friends!!!
I like to watch most movies at home. There are a few movies that play better on the big screen - like the LOTR trilogy with all the incredible scenery and some action movies - but most movies are just as good at home and you can pause them and replay scenes.

I watch movies at home because I have many at home. They do not cost me more money, I can watch them many times, by the time they wear out, they might have cost me a dollar per view. Borrowing costs only 6 dollars for three for three days. We also have pay per view which can cost 3 to 10 dollars to see a movie. If we go out to see a movie, it can cost 8 dollars a person which is 16 dollars, plus the gas to get there. Then if you get hungry or thirty, it's a lot of money for popcorn and soda or even water. It's double at a theater what it is to eat and drink anywhere else. We do go out for a special night once in a great while (like 3 times a year) to a theater for a special night out.
