blood is thicker than water.we all know that.i almost come back to see my parents every week.but i know that many people is busy, and seldom come back,or seldom write, even at parents's birthday.i think, even we did not come back, you'd better send a present in those days.they need our look after.
do you think so?

It all depends on your relationship with your parents. Some people are not close with their parents or feel that they had a bad upbringing. I was very fortunate I had amazing parents and I was very close to both my parents and lived with them until they both passed away. I often felt sorry for my siblings who lived far and did not have the same memories I have. I can honestly say I have no regrets how I lived my life but I think if I did live further when they passed away that there would be a part of me that would feel very sad for not visiting more or calling more. You'll never realize how much you are going to miss someone until they are gone.

"blood is thicker than water"
I've always hated this phrase. In fact, I've developed my own version "Blood is thicker than water, and thus easier to choke on."
I don't visit my parents. I occasionally call them, especially on birthdays, and I do exchange emails and such with my father sometimes. However, I don't feel like I owe my parents anything, because they didn't really so much raise me, and when they did have custody of me they abused me horribly. I have much closer bonds with my friends (who have actually been kind to me) than with my family members (who mostly have been cruel to me).
I do sort of like the person my father is now, but I was growing up he was neither really a father to me nor a nice person. So while I do speak to him sometimes now, I don't really treat him much like a real parent. If anything, I like his partner more than I like him.

i haven't seen my parents for two months. but i havent' seen them for over 3 years before i went back to my homtown two months ago. i miss them very much, but my job was too busy to have time to go back. now we are living far away from my parents, and now i decide to move a city near them, then i can visit them in few months. so i don't find a new job in my current city. if i can earn enough money online, then i can move back to my hometown, because it is doesn't affect my work.
when i got home, then i found my parents became much older than they were i saw them last time, 3 years is a long time.

You are lucky enough to see your parents every week. I guess you work not far away from your parents' home. Although I enjoy staying with my parents, I could not visit them as frequently as you do, for I work in a place thousands miles away from my hometown:(
