Since China declared its venture/intentions of economic partnership with Africa, mixed feelings are at their peaks amongst Africans. While some welcome the idea, there are those who, remembering Africa's history, are suspicious about China's true motive. In Fox's "China in Africa v. USA in Iraq" - http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_stephen__070828_china_in_africa_vs__.htm - you see some examples.
There are those who even believe that China is the emerging economic superpower on its way to replace the USA. What is your perspective?

Do you know confucious?the man who was saw as a sage in china in two thousand years ago.Until now ,no one can surpass him in chinese' eyes.Confucious' main is "ren",it means love other people ,the same as Gandhi .Confucianism philosophy pays attention to the person's oneself accomplishment'and bulid up a kind of diapason relationship with others.May be you will say,in history ,china also attacked other country, but i want to say, it is the policicians or schemers'action.i trust no people want war,all we need is clamness life.

Huntbird, are you here implying that China's motive to partnership with Africa is to love and help the Africans, not a desire to build an economic empire as alleged by some people?
Oh, hi there!

In my opinion I think the real motive behind that gigantic move is siphoning oil and valuables from Africa in the name of helping Africa.
I dont think if Africa is so much in need.

Mwashu360, while I, too, do not think that Africa is really in need of foreign aid, I think that the continent needs (besides knowledgeable and confident folks) the know how - technology - to be able to tap into its natural resources that all "developed nations" are very aware of and covet!
