Have you ever done this?

I have gotten in a little bit of a rush sometimes when I'm posting discussions or responses that I forget to spell check or simply proof read what I have typed. My last discussion was suppose to have the title, "Where do you get yours from?" and instead it says, 'Where do you get from?". Boy it really makes me feel stupid when I do that. I usually spell check the body of my discussions but I forget to proof read the subject line. I've even got one that says dpression, instead of depression. I don't seem to notice until after I hit the start discussion button. I wish there was a button where we could edit it after we start it, I know there's the preview button, but sometimes, I don't catch it then either. How many of you have done the same thing, and then how did you feel when you did notice it?

I think everyone does that on occasion lol. I am usually a good speller but sometimes I do get in a hurry and don't go back and read what I wrote. I feel like an idiot when I see that I've made a typo, especially a word that is easy to spell.

Oh yeah! It is quite a common thing to make such mistake when typing. I did experience this several times before. Frankly speaking sometime I never paid full attention to what I had checked through though I did the checking lol... Very often we tend to make mistake due to certain factors like psychological presumption or some mistaken defaults. Normally by the time when I discovered it I then would regret over the negligent made. This always will teach me a lesson I must adopt more serious attitude towards the checking.

I do that all the time. Mostly from the lack of cooperation from my keyboard and my fingers going at warp speed not wanting to stop to see if I spelled anything right lol. Don't feel bad.

Been there many times myself! I have a habit of leaving out letters or forgetting something in the sentence. I guess my mind works faster than I can type. I don't really worry about it though everyone on here has the same problem!

It happened to me twice or thrice already, since I seldom start my own post I just try to make sure that I spelled or typed it correctly.
But if I still haven't received any responses yet, let's say for more than 5 minutes, I messaged mylot immediately and requested to delete that particular post as soon as possible. It does work, I'm thankful that they heard me and acted immediately. But still, it could be good if we always double-check our works before posting it!;)

Peach, LMAO sorry not really laughing at you, but with you my friend. Yes indeed there are some days that the brain finger connection is short wired for me. My fingers fly with a will of their own. Then in my haste I press send, only to read what I have typed in horror. I use firefox as my web browser, it has a built in spell check, so it catches spelling mistakes, however it does nothing for left out words, the wrong forms of words or words that require an s making them plural or for that matter needs an ing at the end. LMAO all of theses things I am quite guilty of. Not to worry though none of us are perfect as long as your point gets across and we can read it and understand it I would not worry about it.At least that is what I tell myself about those that read me.

That is actually funny and I think people will take a look just to see what you mean. I have done it as well but I can't remember what it was a put now but it was in my subject line when I was quite new and I was gutted. Don't worry, I realise now tht lots of people do it. Also sometimes everything looks OK until you actually post it and then gremlins must sneak in a change things about in that split second as once it is posted then it seems to have aquired spelling errors etc. Have fun.

I've done that and it never fails. I hit submit and at the very last nanosecond I see a mistake.
I spell check almost 90% of the time - if I remember or I'm not rushed.
Watch, just because I'm hyper focused on spell-check, I'll probably forget to check this response LOL!

I've done it before. Sometimes when I'm in a rush or excited about what I'm writing. I think my mind gets going faster than my fingers. And then some times my granddaughter is with me. It can be fun typing with a 3 year old in your lap. She wants to help.
What makes it bad is when you get the people (who must be perfect and never makes mistakes themselves) put you down because of a mistake you make. I've seen some people that get nasty. I think there is no need for that.

Yes the same thing has happened to me, and I just write the correct thing out after seeing I messed up that my fingers typed faster than my brain. LOL ! It happens to everyone sooner or later. Don't feel stupid because your not.

Well, I did sometimes make mistakes like what you did. It's because I want to do it quick, so I just do type, type and type and press the post button. Then I realize that I made a little mistake on typing a word. Yes, it would be nice if there is a correction button for that kind of thing.

Ooh, I hate when that happens! I visit another site and they don't have an edit button either! Sometimes I get into debates about politics and it's usually heated. When I misspell a word and hit post before I had a thought of proof reading it makes me angry. People then think I'm stupid and they'll tell me so just to hurt me.
Ha! Maybe I should stay out of the political threads, but I love politics.
