I just got an email from donkeyemail and it said that I won $400. but in order to get it I have to become a mamber of the gold games club. can any one tell me if this is a scam because they are asking not only for my account but also my pass word. They are also asking for an account number. There isn't any number just my email address. so if any one can help me I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

I agree that it is a scam. Don't give them any details. The email is not from donkey mails just someone pretending to be them. Never trust any of the many emails that are sent trying to get security details off you. I get them constantly from people pretending to be paypal and some of the recent emails have looked really good with images etc but I forward all of them to paypal and they are always spoofs.
It is dissapointing as we all love to win something and it is cruel to get peoples hopes up that they have won money and then they steal from them instead. I can't stand hackers and scammers.

As I thiuhgt about it I didn't think that a lagit site would ask for the password to a money account. They apparently don't know that paypal uses emails not numbered accounts because the email wouldn't fit. thanks for the confermation that it is a scam.

just a scam my friend.. this is no less than a hacker trying to rip you of your hard earned money. if they ask you to be a member of something before you get your prize, that is internet nonsense.

I would say it's a scam- judging by the sound of it. Asking for your account and pw isn't correct, if you win something- usually you need to just give your e-mail for e-gold or paypal. Then they send you the money and you collect it.

yes this is def a scam. anything that you win, and end up having to give your password to is usually a scam
