I am gaining weight and I need to stop it NOW. I used to wear a size 5 and I was happy with that, now I'm a size 7/8 and thats all in one year. Anyone have any good diet tips, that will help me lose a good 10-15 pounds?

You need to up your activity level, the recommended daily amount of walking to lose and keep off weight as well as get fit is 10,000 steps. If you can do that each day, you might need to work up to it, it will help. If you like meat, fish, cheese then the Atkins diet for 3 to 4 weeks so see it all gone. Otherwise if you are not a big meat eater then go for low fat foods, so you can include lots of fruit and veg. If you have salad a couple of times a day for a few weeks the weight will fall off. You haven't much to lose and any diet will get that amount off you in a month with the added walking.

Yea, I used to run to keep it maintained, but a few months ago I sprained my ankle, and since then I have gained about 5 pounds. I'm always eating late, I just want that snack late at night. Recently, I tried to eat a healthy snack like a fruit or celery. I guess I'm just going to have to wrap the ankle up and get to running and eating salads. Anyone tried a Subway diet?

Well, first of all if you like snack, you have to stop eating them. Then stop drinking soda or juice or any other drink except plain water. Then you also have to start exercising regularly, whatever you find most suitable for you that you can keep up for a long time. I myself prefer doing Taebo at home by following Billy Blanks in his CDs. Then don't eat anything later than 4 hours before you go to sleep.
You should choose healthier kinds of food, too: eat more vegetables and fruit and avoid junk food. You should find a partner to help you with the exercise regime if you don't feel motivated enough. Maybe having a partner will help you feel that exercising is fun to do and that way you'll be able to keep it up.

When I was a size 5 I felt disgusting, like a skeleton. I weigh 135 now and I love it. By the way I am 5'4.You do not need to lose wieght but in order to maintain your weight do not eat before u go to bed and stay away from starches and saturated fat and if you can meat.Good luck

Well, I have the opposite problem, I tend to lose weight and now would like to gain about 15- 20 lbs. because my pants are starting to fit me lose. A size 7/8 is my target size, but a 5/6 will do. I can wear some 5's, but I've been stuck in the 3/4 size for over 2 years and I can't seem to make the weight stick on me. I know people probably think I am crazy. but I miss being thicker, I feel more healthier that way as long as it's mostly muscle and not fat.

I wish I had that problem. I was like that in high school. I wanted to be thick and not skinny, cause boys didn't like skinny girls where I'm from. Now I thank god I was that skinny in High School, because if I was thick back then, I'd probably be overweight now.
