Hello wild_flow_r, I agree with you, Dengue, this tropical disease has been around in our country for awhile. It is transmitted to humans by the mosquito bites. In our country where there is constant rain and flood which oftentimes causes mosquitos to multiply. We should on our own start at home to do our part to prevent this disease.
In order to avoid this disease we should keep the house clean, never leave standing water around which is where the mosquitos live. We should search and destroy possible breeding grounds of dengue-carrying mosquitoes like old tires, broken vases and bottle caps. We should try to wear long sleeve shirts and pants or apply mosquito repellant lotion for self-protection. And we should seek health professionals for fever in our family that is already two days or more.
My niece had gotten this illness long before and eversince then we've been preventing it in our home from happening again to anyone.

Wildflower so sorry to hear of this is your nephew okay? We do not have it here but I do fear it as I sit here and scratch numerous bites and pray my children to have to suffer an illness from it. I hope your nephew recovers quickly. Rose
