I mean, seriously...what is going on? Have you ever sat down and took the time to listen to some of the lyrics in the songs that our children listen to? I am not going to post these lyrics because I am pretty sure that it would violate the mylot terms of service, but I don't think that the FCC even bothers to try to listen to some of these songs.
I love hiphop...but I am a grown woman! I see 10 year old kids walking around singing songs that they should have no business singing! I really wish that radio stations would be a bit more careful about what they play...at least during the hours that kids are normally awake.

i totally agree, some songs are just plain disgusting and crude. and in my opinion have no business on the public airways. the songs should be appropriate for every age that might be listening..and edited (if nothing else) if they are not..or just plain not played. if ppl want to hear that crap they can buy the cd.
speaking of which..i have a 12yr old and after hearing some of the songs on a cd she was "dying" to get i was appalled and promptly removed it. NOW before she gets any new cd i look up the album lyrics (in full) before she gets the green light.
that, at least i have control over! lol

I would hate to be a mom in today's world, dealing with such horrible pop culture.

i agree with the person before.i think it plays a important role in our lives.though web is developing very fast and the other medium is more and more.but we can learn more information on air.what we have learn through the experience that we had about our lives. it should be controled.

yeah !! definitely , radio players act as a major role in building a child`s attitude , what they listen to through radio , obviously effects their mind this way or the other, so these radio broadcasting channels should keep n mind these attributes and then only telecast any of their program...
