It has become a common site to see vehicles struck in traffic jam, horn non stop to make other drivers to make way for them. This ceaseless horning create much noise to get the drivers irritated. When their is room defintely the flow of vehicles will be there. There is no necessity of using horn unnecessarily to make big noise. The hoot of horn under smoke spread in the air cause stress to the people living nearby.
sometimes these horning is much annoying when we get trapped in traffic jams..
There are flats by the side of the road the aged and small children get affected because of this nose pollution. The government takign interest support to the manufacturing of vehicles must take step to widen the roads to manage the free flow of vehicles in cities.
To prevent the noise pollution ,the roads in cities should be widen getting allocation of money from government...will they do?

Dear Subathra,
The point u raised is very common here in Pakistan too, Traffic jam at differnt areas is common, some times its traffic jam for hours and u can imagine what would be situation, Heat, smokes, horns. bumper to bumper driving, drivers are getting depressed and touchy. They use horm to get passage as well as other to stop from enrtering in their lane. Some cars are stuck due to end of Fuel, creating more hurdles in traffic.
This is not only creating noise pollution but dust and smoke pollution as well. The reason is Extended areas of shops , carts around road, wrong parking , small roada and more traffic/car. Car leasing result in some much cars/veichles on road that which were not forecasted
now to widen road in city might be very difficult coz of space, over head bridges and roads are required and i am sure gov will built it as the rate of car purchase is too high, if they dont think then it will be always traffic block in big cities
its scary, isnt it

It is a necessary evil if one chooses to stay in city. Factories, vehicles and people all make noise Year by year the level of noise also increases and we live in the same atmosphere with increased noise. You cannot send all the industries outskirts, because that outskirts become another big city. Industries are essential for economic deevelopment. I live in a resident which is in the hub of commercial place. Noise pollution is at peak.

In England you are not allowed to use your horn like this and only use it in an emergency, ie if you think someone might be stepping out in front of you etc You can get in trouble if you sound your horn at night. I think after what you say that this is a good t hing. I hope they do something where you are to stop this problem and make the roads safer.

Yes friend. I that has been one of the big problems various societies are facing as a result of noise. Infact, it keeps increasing everyday in the society. What makes me nervous the most is those children on the streets (most especially in Africa). Those children are unprotected and need help of the goverment, but some of the government would not want to give such issues good attention. Thanks

widen the roads?i dont think so,at least in China they wont do this recently.it is really annoyed to live in cities,i'd rather live in countryside,if it is as convinient as in city.but i have to endure noise pollution,in order to get better earnings.
but i also think that even if the roads are widen, will there be no noise?i think the best way is to reduce cars on the road, add more buses, but it's impossible.

Well yeah here in Southeast Asia it is a big problem, especially in Manila, one of the most noisiest and polluted cities on earth where teh most traffic occurs which for me is the most terrible thing to happen since u would have loud busses and cars honking here and there and the amount of pollution is just intolerable, bioth air and noise....add to the fact that local public vehicles blow their radios out loud with the world's most horrible music plus u get screaming people here and there, which is why houses along highways and national roads have higher deafness rates and lung diseases

I live in a city where there is a lot of noise pollution, but you just learn to live with it after a while.
