See a snake and kill it

Today when i came home,i found several people picked some blocks to kill a snake.And from tv ,i know many foreigners against to kill animals.I won't oppose if it is a dog or a cat.
but what about a snake?our people consider snake is cruel.when we see a snake ,we will be no mercy.
do you think so?

Snakes are a natural part of the environment.They fill a very important environmental niche. If we were to kill all of them we would throw nature out of balance.
If you cannot life don't take life.
