Do you think we earn more if our responses are chosen as best response?

I guess this depends, I remember that I asked the admin about this and they responded with me by saying;
1. myLot (57) 4 months ago
"These are for you to use to rate other myLot users. This is what myLot refers to as the Discussion Rating System or DRS.
The Discussion Rating System (DRS) allows users to rate the usefulness of topics, responses, and comments on myLot.
The goal of the DRS is to help keep the quality of myLot discussions as high as possible for all members.
myLot members should rate discussions, responses, comments, and photos based upon quality and usefulness. We are very excited about the DRS and encourage everyone to use it.
The DRS is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community."
So I believe this depends on the quality, of our post and the topic we responded to in which we also received a "best response" mark.
I hope this helps you enlightened, good day and enjoy posting!;)

Thanks a lot my friend. Yeah, it definitely helps. All the while I thought the DRS system has been in mylot since they started it.

Honestly I really don't know about that. I'm pretty much new here and I still need to learn so many thing including how the rate our post. But what I know that my rating star changed its color, when I started to respond and post more useful information in the discussion. So I guess best response is also important for making good earnings here.

I was always told that you don't earn anything for bEst Responses, but now I wonder? It could be that your BS were good enough to earn more.

I think we are given money if our reply to the discussion is choosen as the best response. I think it is mylot way to encourage us to post good responses. And making your post good and long enough can still earn money too. And if you rate a positive rating that also adds up to your money. I have experience that but I do not know if it is really real.

I think it does as I have seen my earning increase on the days when I received best responses.

based from my experience, as a member for about 7 months now, i would say that having garnered many best responses the members won't earn anything at all. i tried not responding to any discussion for a day and solely depended on having 4 responses marked a best response for that day, yet i did not get any earnings for that particular day. the fact is that your response whether marked as best response or not has already been counted and credited for the daily updates. no particular or same response would be credited twice.

I am not sure about it but I kind of suspect so. But I don't think you will have a higher earning for every best response. I don't really investigate their system anymore. I am just happy to get the best response *smiles*.

I've to admit that, personally, I've never asked me such question...
I'm very happy if an answer of mine is chosen as best response, but, not for the earnings, which I don't care how it is calculated, but JUST for my vanity...
I feel sometimes very proud when someone likes some answers I give, for the contents I express: they may be feelings or technical answers.
bye

I have no idea. I have not checked how many best responses I have got. Maybe I should because sometimes things have gone rather slow for me right now. I do not think I got that many, because lately I find it hard to write intelligently enough for others to take serious notice.

Nope no extra pay it is just kind of like a pat on the head for doing a good job. It helps in your over all rating on the site but there is no monetary prize or income to be earned from it. It would be really nice if we did get a little extra pay for it but unfortunatey we do not. It would be cool if there was some kind of contest for those who get the most best responses, but I imagine people would find some sort of way to cheat.

Yes, I do think that we earn more when we get a BR award, as your experience clearly shows.. So that is why we should make each response the best that we can give. We earn more money and we can also have the satisfaction of knowing that we did our best. A job well done has many rewards.
