why doesn't anyone read this book?

War and Peace is my favorite novel of all time. I can never find anyone else who's read it. Even very well-read people seem to avoid it. Is is the lenth that puts them off? If a book is a good as this one, why would you want it to end? The Russian names are a bit confusing, but otherwise the book is very accessible. Would like to hear opinions of others who've read it.

its author has great religion incline,read his books seems to tell us mystery.

its long, lengthy, complex subplots, too many characters, and funny names that are hard to keep up with. thats why i like it lol.
takes patience to read it but if you do manage to read it, it is quite interesting actually.
elaborate happenings of the russian aristrocracy before the dawn of communism is described there.

I haven't read it, and this may sound stupid, but yes, the length puts me off. I don't know why, I like to read, but for some reason I have just never read that book solely because of it'd length. Pretty dumb reason I suppose...

Well, you found someone who has read War and Peace.
And yes it is a very good book, long, not the world easiest reading but worth it.
