Have you been a member of drum & lyre corps in your school? It is nice to be in this group. You go in parade and compete to some competition, that's a nice experience. You can learn how to play xylophone, drums, or you can be a majorette or minorette. I've been in this group it was really nice, you will wear a costume and go to street to have some parade, your like a toy, isn't it? Marching on the street while playing your instrument, isn't it nice? Children loves to watch it!

Yes I was a lyrist when I was in grade school and I was able to attend most of the town celebrations near my place and processions too. Under the scorching sun you have to parade from end to end of certain town. Then when I was in high school I helped to establish a drum and lyre band in my school with the help of a nun (yes I studied in a exclusive school run by salesian nuns). How I miss those days ^___^ grin

indeed, we will miss those glory days in school. when we participate in the school extra curricular activities, we feel so important and so useful. when we are able to show our talents thataway, we feel so important, needed and wanted. those accomplishments made us in a way how we are today. they will always be a part of how we truly are. congratulations for having been such a help in establishing a drum and lyre band in your school. i am sure that you have taken so much pride in that.

during my time, the most popular thing to get into are the choir and the drama/stage group. i had also the opportunity to be a member of the glee club, then. my kids though had always joined the drum and bugle corps. my daughter had the lyre but she was also a majorette. my son played the drums. yes, it is true that it is some real good fun to see the kids treading the streets executing those talents that they have in such a gleeful way. my kids now are all of majority ages. the first two that i have have now landed in some jobs of their own. the youngest one will be battling with school again as soon as his health permits.

Wow your kids are talented. It is good for you as a parent allowing kids to participate on that kind of activity. It is really fun.

But since I graduated on college last 2010 I've been forced to work for myself but still I can able to give an extra time to teach young Kids... And now Im working in our Family Business and because of that it helps me to continue my Fashion in Music... I really love Teaching not only Music But also the discipline and fashion I have in it...
