How is Winnie Pooh Gay?

Devil Pooh - Baby Pooh as a devil to piss off my mom. Yet, it's so adorable.

Recently my mom has gotten the idea that Winnie Pooh has a gay relationship with Christopher Robin. And I have no idea how that is possible. So, she's making my sisters (who live with her) get rid of everything Disney. Which is kind of stupid in my mind. The little one already did but my other sister (16) refuses and probably won't be able to make her get rid of all her collection of Poohs, she loves them so much. How can the most innocent character that I can think of end up a sinful sign for my mother. She has some serious issues and I don't get her reasoning. I wonder is anyone can explain this to me, if there is such an answer as to why everything is dirty and sinful to her.

I don't know why there are people with this way of thinking. Believing that the cartoon world that's made for children with clean and innocent minds; which for them it's a fantasy pleasure it's compared with sexuality and sin. I have a one year old boy and with a belief like that I'm not going to destroy his child fantasy. I believe that this lady has too many sins and wants to clean them destroying a children's world without realizing it. Knowing that she, herself has a two year old.

Just explain to your mother that it's a children show: sexuality isn't discussed or portrayed. I don't know how she got that into her head, but I think she's being paranoid(no offense). It's not uncommon, though. There are even some people that have it in their heads that the teletubbies are gay, too. I don't think I can stress enough to people that these are just children's shows, and the likelihood of sexuality in general being portrayed is a whopping 0% chance. Apparently people are so fascinated by sexuality (and homosexuality especially), that they see it in places it doesn't exist. I'd suggest therapy, and a daily dose of chill pills.

That is probably the craziest thing I have ever heard. Pooh and all the other animals in 100 Acres Wood were the stuffed animals of Christopher Robin. They lived in his imagination. It would be like saying my 4yo daughter has a gay relationship with her stuffed dog Mocha because she hugs on it and kisses it. Crazy! Winnie the Pooh teaches great lessons about friendship and loyalty and perseverance (my favorites were about Piglet learning to stand up for himself and understanding that being small didn't make you less important).

People today spend too much time looking for these sorts of things, trying to ruin everything for everyone. No, winnie the pooh is not gay, not now, not ever. The people who start these stupid little things don't even have good reasons behind their ideas.

I have been hearing that about Winnie the Pooh since I was a child, but Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin are not gay, and if the are, who cares?

Pooh is a friggin stuffed animal and Christopher Robin is a prepubescent boy. You mother is listening to the wrong kind of preachers. Sure Pooh is mildly effeminant, but most gay men are not. This is just as stupid as tinky winky and spongebob being gay. They are cartoon charactors for crying out loud. I don't want to put down anyone[s parentage, but you mother is in serious need of help; first for thinking that a cartoon charactor is gay and then for thinking that being gay is wrong to begin with.
