What do you guys think about this. I personally believe that when its my time to go...God will send for me, even if I am suffering. I feel like God is keeping me alive one more day for a reason. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and every moment on this earth is an important moment.
However, i understand some people are and have been in some serious pain. To the point to where they ask the doctor to let them die. Is this right? If you were a doctor, what would you do?

have you ever sat at the bedside of a patient or loved one in so much pain that they beg god to take them? no amount of pain medication seems to help there is no hope for them to get better , I to believe its all up to god to decide when its our time to go, but maby if the doctor gave just enough medicne to help the person to drift off to sleep than the higher power will take over and relieve the person of there pain for good,
I have watched so many fight in the end maby they are afraid or they feel something has not been finished and they just cant relax enough to go over to the other side, than I have seen meds given just enough to make them relax and it seems shortly after that it is time and all is taken out of our hands.

I understand your position, and fortunately enough I have never experienced, first hand, someone suffering. I think this leads to a seperate topic. The topic of there being resources/medicine out there to alleviate pain, and allow people to still live. This world is so stuck on money that compassion comes second over the mighty dollar.

If I were a doctor, I couldn't do it. My values as a person who believes in life are to high. If I were a doctor, I gave my vows to save a life, not end it. These are my personal beliefs.

I am not a doctor, I don't even play one on t.v. I'm sorry I couldn't resist. But If I were a doctor, I couldn't physically help, but i would try to get the patient to a hospice and make sure he/she has a do not resuscitate order and that he/she had enough pain meds for their trip to the hospice. But If I were the patient, I would leave the hospital and end my life myself, alone. That way no one can be charged with the murder of me. The doctor that would "help" could get in trouble and any friend or family member could get in trouble too. I wouldn't want them to get in trouble because of my choice.

when our time is up..it is up...if the patient has the facilitates to suggest euthanasia then I see no problem with it...They are the ones suffering.....this should be a personal option between doctors and patiences..like abortion...who has the right beyond the individual and the doctor to say other wise!........people generally don't support this for their own fear of lose or life span...but it isn't about us right now...........We should support this........if not for anything else for a basic human right...to chose live or to die..........
