I really hate it when I get nonsense, forwarded texts. Have you ever experienced waiting for an important message then when your phone beeps, you get an annoying joke or worse, a chain message! I wish mobile networks would do something about it!

yup! hate it alot.. even if they are from friends because they cause interruptions. worst of them are the ones that say in the end 'forward this messge to this many people and you will hear a good news at the end of the day or else... blah blah blah!' these kind of messages are simply annoying and they are a result of different sms packages. you can subscribe to send 1250 sms in a month for a mere 75 rupees (thats a little more than 1 USD) to any network in pakistan. so just to use up all the quota of sms, people forward these useless messages. the networks can stop these subscriptions to put an end to this but there would be many users who would suffer who use this service for their need and that includes me too. i can't figure out a soluton that would keep everyone happy :(

one friend sent me this chain text that said if I didn't forward the message, I won't pass my licensure exams! I really had to burst her bubble then...it was too much! I control forwarded messages by telling those who send them that I would appreciate it if they stop sending me those quotes. They stopped, but then the jokes replaced them, which is easier to handle, I suppose. :)

sometimes, it pissed me off receiving those nonsense forwarded text messages. especially when im sleeping while expecting for a very important text. when my phone beeps, i thought that it was the text message that i've been waiting for, but its not. everytime i received forwarded text messages, i dont read it immediately, i just kept it on my Inbox. then just read it when i'm bored. some of those forwarded messages though are funny and inspirational and sometimes it will make you think and became a question of the day for you, or a thought to ponder.

right-o! forwarded messages usually come from a few people, so I leave them in my inbox. Some inspirational texts they send me are about lost love and I think they're barking up the wrong tree...hehe! thanks for the reply!

I am very fortunate that I have never received SPAM text messages on my cellphone. The few times I've received texts, they have been from people that I wanted to get them from. I don't use that feature on my phone that often. It costs way too much.

good for you! People here really use the service seem to be obsessed with it, and it costs less than a call. If it's not really urgent, sms can be an advantage, wish people would have some manners using it though..:)

Hi, tenchiwei. I have never had any forwarded quotes on my cell phone so far. I have however, had forwarded emails on my computer though. I usually will just delete these type of email messages because I have no use for it. I would notify my cell phone carrier about this issue if I was you. I can understand why you are so annoyed because, I would be too, if it were me in this same situation.
