I am so happy: yesterday I bought my first complete tea-set!!! As many of you know, I love tea and of course I had my kettle and some cups I loved and many tea blends..but I lacked a complete tea-set..Now I am the proud owner of a matching tea-pot, six cups and saucers, sugar-basin and a little bowl for milk. They are in fine Bona china and are made by Villeroy and Boch..And it was such a bargain because they were giving it away for nearly nothing because it was the last left..and it was exactly what I was looking for..so I can't wait having my tea properly served...

How lovely to have a nice tea set. There was a time when I would have loved to have a tea set. I loved making a nice pot of tea and serving it from the pot. Heck, I don't even have a tea kettle anymore. After the old one lost its luster I never replaced it. For as much as we have tea these days it was a waste to have a kettle or tea pot for that matter. I still have a nice tea pot that has butterflies on it. I occasionally use it, but not often. If I want a cup of tea, I place a pot on the stove to heat the water.

Dear Maribea,
I am glad that you found your personal favorite. It really feels great when we actually find something close to our heart. So, you are a connoisseur sweetie. Even i like Darjeeling tea - perfectly brewed and aromatic. Nothing like it and I prefer it black.
So dear, when will you invite me??
PS: Miss you a lot here. You take care and do well in your writings.
Love and hugs..
always yours mimpi.

How exciting. I'm not a tea drinker myself but a 'tea set' just sounds so elegant. Now a little matching plate for tea cakes and you'll be all set.

Hi my friend. I am happy for you. I am sorry you are not close from me, because I would give you nice tea set as a gift. I have more than I can use. I have tea, coffee sets and no room to keep it. I just sold some items at my garage sale last weekend, but I have so many left.
All good quality items. Maybe I can keep it, so you can come over to visit my place and take it with you....:)
I am doing my house remodeling now to be able to have people over...:)

Congratulations on your first tea set! I am a tea fanantic, I have more teapots than I need but not a complete teaset. I should probably sell some of my pots on eBay and use the proceeds to buy a tea service.
I like the Royal Albert Country Roses pattern, myself.
