Are all the Muslims terrorists?

No. Definitely not. First of all, I am not a Muslim and I firmly believe that even though there are lots of Muslims that became or are terrorists, there are still Muslims out there who aren't. I have to share this to you. Ever since birth, i haven't been actually able to talk to a Muslim. Maybe because I I live in a neighborhood consisting of the same religion as I do(Catholic). Some of my neighbors and friends would even generalize that all Muslims are terrorists.. I even thought they all were, which was wrong. I am not a racist okay. :) I was just carried away by the people in my place. It was just last year when I entered college where I met lots of people from different cultures, races and religion. Last year, I met someone who is a Muslim. We became friends, very good friends after that. That friendship meant a lot to me because it was the first time that I actually talked to a Muslim. I even was afraid of her at first because of the thought "muslims are terrorists" but I shouldn't judge the book by its cover.. And so our friendship started. After that, my whole perception about Muslims totally changed for good. I was wrong at first and I am sorry for that. So definitely, not all Muslims are terrorists. Some people just don't prefer knowing them better but rather generalize what they are from their religion..

No of course not. How can all muslims be terrorists? Majority of muslims are way too busy with their daily life to think of terrorizing others or giving up their lives and leaving their families in the lurch. Poverty and illiteracy are one of the main reasons why people take up terrorism…they don’t know what to do with their life, they have no choices and terrorism seems a brave and romantic option. But it is sad though that most terrorists the world over, who have bombed and killed other are muslims…but we should not forget about the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka…they are terrorist organizations too. Another thing why muslims are labeled as terrorists are the complete lack of protest of ordinary muslims against such conservative organizations and their atrocities. Conservative muslim organizations and clegy declare fatwa and jihad against anything and everything yet ordinary educated muslims do nothing but accept without any question. And this gets all the more infuriating if you are living in a multi-ethinic society where you have to accept certain uniform codes in order to co-exist peacefully. People start to look upon muslims with doubt and attack them on the slightest of provocation. All these makes me think of times when, in undivided India, Hindus and Muslims not only co-existed peacefully but contributed fruitfully to each others’ lives and families. Muslims were looked upon with great respect and indeed their rich contribution to Indian society can never be denied or underestimated. They were a class apart. But truly speaking, these days that liberal feeling has gone out of Islam. It has come to represent narrow self-serving people who just cant come out of their shells. I don’t think they represent true Islam. The Taliban says singing is anti-Islam, yet being an Indian even you know how beautiful ghazals are. Indian classical music has been nurtured and carried by muslim ustads, they never had any problem following their faith! Salman Khan has been served a fatwa for attending ganesh chaturthi, what would these mullahs have said to the great Emperor Akbar who not only married JodhaBai but had Krishna Lila inside his palace? Muslims in older days were much much ahead of their times, they were truly the bearers of a great religion! I still think Islam can be given its rightful place of a peaceful religion only if educated ordinary muslims try to shake off the shackles of the conservative clergy and follow the true tenets of peace and brotherhood!

i have few muslim friends who are well educated we talk about many things i find them very resonable, and never ever support such stupid things, its only because they have power to think, and all because of education.

No definitely not..only some whom so fanatic about the religion does it. This act really tarnish the Image of Muslims around the world. I'm Not a Muslim.. but NO.. MUSLIM is Not a A terrorist.

I think it's ridiculous to think that all people who belong to a certain religion are bad. There are bad people and good people wherever you go, regardless of their religious beliefs. There are Christian terrorists in this country who bomb abortion clinics and kill doctors and nurses in the name of God. I consider myself to be Christian, but anyone who knows anything about history will also know that Christians have waged war over the centuries in the name of God. The Oklahoma City bombing in the 1990's was done by American terrorists against a government facility. Extremism can happen in any religious movement. We just have to guard ourselves against hatred and believing that any act of violence in the name of God or Allah, is inherently wrong.

All Muslims are not terrorists but almost all terrorists suffer from been infected by some religion. It takes a true and committed fanatic to believe that he is so right that he has the right to kill people in the name of his beliefs.

The only thing Muslims should be considered is Muslim. Anyone who thinks that all Muslims are terrorist are just dumb.I wish that these types of conversations weren't necessary.Until then just remember that not all non Muslims think Muslims are terrorists. Be Well and Happy Ranadan.

I don't know anyone who believes that all Muslims are terrorists. Only a small percentage of the Muslim community is composed of terrorists - and they by no means represent the beliefs and mindset of muslims throughout the rest of the world. Terrorists come from all walks of life and a number of different faiths. Even Christianity has a few notable terrorist groups which subscribe to the faith. However, this is not a reason to condemn all Christians, nor is having terrorists a reason to condemn Muslims.

I am Christian, but have this thing against Islam, not moslems, but the religion. Why do terrorists use the koran to justify their stupidity? If the koran really directs them to kill, then I believe any moslem is a potential killer. Unless you get your ideology wrong, any muslim to me is a potential terrorist.

It is a sterotype and many people believe in sterotypes. Of course I am guilty of stero typing. If I saw a bald man with a mustache, tatoo, and leather jacket I think he is one of those guys who would pick a fight.

I am not even sure if those terrorists should even be considered a Muslim. I mean, doesn't the Quran teach Muslims to help others in need and that sort of thing? I think the terrorists are just using Islam as a scapegoat for their own political views. I would also say that those fundy Christians are terrorist if they go around hurting other people in one way or another. Getting into people's heads and making them feel guilty enough to convert is psychological warfare that they use to their advantage to instill fear into the person.

All muslims aren't terrorists, but almost all terrorists are muslims. That's why its easy enough to generalize. it may not be right, but neither is terrorism or hatred that Islam has been inspiring.

O my God!!!No one can say that some group of people are better or nicer than others!!We are all the same bed or good!!We are all God Children!!Muslims are the same like we are/catholic/!!We have to live together and help each other!I am not sure that most of terrorist came from Muslims community!!Some of our leaders want as to think that a Muslims are responsible for all bed in the world!!I do not believe in that!!!I am so Proud that I live next door with Muslims Family!!

Why doesn't everyone take a terrorist stance on matters.................lets all proclaim to be terrorists!!...what can they do if they have hundreds of thousands of ppl saying they are terrorists............we can all have different causes............seriously but..........Protest... get the ppl out on their feet for equality to Muslim nationals in your society. Show you support the humanitarian issues as a muslin.... but they cant just keep pointing the fingers as a certain look or an over seas family visit..........

Definitely NOT! It's just so sad that most of the times, we tend to associate the word Muslims to terrorist. However, just like any other race, there are bad and good Muslims.

This is over generalization!!! But we cant deny the fact that most terrorists today uses the name of Allah just to carry out their grim desires and plots.
