Surgery tomorrow for my son...

My son has been in the hospital for a week. Tomorrow, he will be going for surgery. The doctor isn't sure if he's having appendicitis or a problem with his bowel. If the problem is NOT appendicitis, they will most likely resect his bowel. There is a mass, but there's a fine line between the two places. He will be in the hospital for at least 6-7 days after that.
He's starting to get scared. He doesn't know it, but I'm getting scared, too. Both grandmas have been visiting him and calling him. His aunt is calling him. Sisters and friends are calling and visiting.
Wish us luck!

Jesus told His disciples in John 14:12-14; 21: "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it... Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
Have faith and pray for strength, courage and comfort in Jesus. I am one with you in praying for the success of your son's operation, his speedy recovery and the fulfillment of God's will in his life and yours. :)

Craig will be fine, Jodi. He is scared, but he knows this needs to be done if he is to feel better. I am glad you are a nurse now, and know how to read his chart when necessary. :-) I am praying for him. He's mine, too, ya know. :-)

I just said a prayer for your son, hope the surgery goes well and he will have a speedy recovery. I've had a bowel resection surgery before too, it's painful I won't try to kid you. But worth the pain. It's good that he knows he can count on you for support. He will need help for several days, especially getting in and out of the bed, very painful to move about, but try to encourage him to stay up and walk whenever possible, it speeds the recovery. Please update us when you can. You are in my prayers as well.

Thank you for your advice. I'm trying to stay calm for him. I don't think that he knows that I am scared! Will update as I can. Thanks for your prayers.

If you are a believer..imagine Jesus Christ on the cross with his blood flowing through out the body of your son...from the top of his head to the soles of his feet,. see Jesus blood flowing on it...and when you are comfortable with this thought...lay your hands to your son's head and say..."By Jesus Stripes--you are healed! In Jesus name .Amen!"
update me to what happens next...:)God bless!
