Court Orders Britney Spears to Meet with a Parenting Coach

An L.A. County Court commissioner has ordered Britney Spears to meet with a parenting coach twice a week for a minimum of eight hours. If she doesn't comply, she could lose custody of her children. It all stems from her abuse of alcohol and drugs, and her questionable parenting skills(e.g., illegally holding her first baby on her lap as she drove her car). Most people who seek the services of a parenting coach are not under court order to do so. They are just looking for a way to deal with the challenges and complexities of raising children in the modern world. As a result, there is a growing body of professionals (trained psychotherapists, nannies, etc.)who fancy themselves parenting coaches. How about you? Have you used the services of a parenting coach? Perhaps a parenting coach would be cost prohibitive for you. Would you be interested in using one if you could afford it? Or do you get enough guidance and assistance from reading books or from "free" mentors like parents, grandparents and friends? Please share your thoughts.

Honestly I think every person could benefit from the help of a parenting coach.

I really hope that Britney takes advantage of this court order as she seriously needs to grow up and be a better mom to her kids. She needs to be the kind of mom that they deserve. While I was pregnant with my daughter I went to pre-natal courses once a week which I found very helpful. Any other advice, suggestiuons, etc have been from friends and family. I feel I am the best mom I can be and that is pretty darn good if I do say so myself ;)

I hope she does it. I have days where I think Super Nanny would be a god send! We've managed to trudge through it all though with nothing more than grand parents, friends and some books advice. If one of my friends were acting like Brittney I would hope they'd get some help and FAST!
