DO you call Missouri home?

Hey:
I'm curious who within Mylot calls the 'show me state' home? I just moved here not too long ago from Detroit, MI. So far I love it (though the heat is something I still need to get used too).
So: do you have a favorit part of Missouri? A complaint about it here? An atraction that you'd like me to see?
I figured this'll at least give us a place to unite.

I kind of like it where I am, which is in the south central portion of MO. The Ozarks area would be my favorite area, but I believe I am a bit east of that.
I have spent mu whole life in MO except to take 3 years out for the Army...and finally wound up down here about 150 miles away from where I grew up.

I've heard the ozarks are a really nice place to visit or live.
OT: but how did you like being in the army?

At the time I didn't much care for it by the time I got out, but looking back I would have been better off if I would have made a career of it.
That was 30 years ago.

I am close to Branson. Ive lived here my whole life. The country is wonderful. Silver Dollar City and Celebration City are nice amusment parks. If you get the chance check out the Y bridge in Galena-a great spot for boating and fishing.
There isnt much in the town I live in, so I have to travel a bit. So unless I drive(gas is too much) I stay home alot. I would like to see a skating rink and a fitness center, and a YMCA as the kids around here dont have anything to do.
