i have read all the books of j.k rowling's harry potter series. theyre all good that i cant help but repeatedly read it over and over again and ill never get tired of it. my bf think that im being silly since he found it pointless to read something which i already know what the ending is saying that it is boring to read the same book over and over again...maybe for him who doesnt love to read..but for me...i always find it entertaining and interesting to recall and understand parts which ive forgotten..he he he i do the same on my favorite movies and other favorite books also. one example is sweet valley high even those when they were still children LOLZ...hahaha bookworm :P

hello Eliezl nope i dont find that silly because i do the same too. i have read the whole series several times. I read Deathly Hallows twice for now. And every time i re-read the books i find something new and interesting. I dont watch the movies so much. But i cant simply resist the books. Well i do that with EVERY book i read and find interesting so i guess some of us are just made that way :) Carry on reading and enjoying and happy mylotting too :)

Except for the last book, I've read the series a total of i think 8 times now. This series is one that you really can't get tired of, because there's always some detail that you can pick up that will help you understand the story that much more.

I've read all the books in the series at least twice, except for the last one which I have only read the one time so far. They are great books to come back to and I'm sure that I'll be reading them all again. You find something new to laugh at or be angered by each time you read them. They almost get better with every read.

i've read all the books 3-5 times each. each time i read it i discover small details that i missed the first time. the first time i read a book i usually finish it in a day or less and miss a few small details.

I used to do that when I was younger - I read all of the VC Andrews books over and over when I was in middle/high school. I couldn't do that now. I barely have time to read something once! Although, I suppose I do have time, but I spend it online instead!

My daughter has read all of the Harry Potter books, which she first buys in the original English language, but then later she buys the German translation, not to miss anything I guess, as she is not a native English speaker. Even after reading the two versions, she still finds it entertaining enough to read it one more time again and those books have got many pages! I admire her persistence!

I've only ever done that with one book and that is Clive Barker's "Imajica". I've lost count of the number of times I've read it and the first time I read it, I turned to the front page and started again right away....incredible book.

It sounds like your boy friend lacks the appreciation of the finer things in life...Harry potter being among the best things in life. I love HP and have read most of the books several times and plan an doing the first 5 again before the next movie comes out. I love watching some movies again and again as well.

I do read books but to be honest, I have never read any of J.K Rowling's Harry Potter series. I tried once but I just got bored with it. I never finished reading book 1 nor any chapter of it. Maybe because the movie makes it non-readable for me. I mean, in my opinion. When I watch the movie, I can clearly understand the whole story. Especially the spells and stuff. It's confusing for me to read a book about wizardry , spells and Harry Potter's quest rather than just see the movie and watch Daniel Radcliffe act the role. But if the book is just a short story.. Like 3 little pigs, Little red riding hood.. I definitely re-read it many times. But no novels for me.

If I am interested in a book, I will read it again and again. But usually I will read it after few years later. As at that time I may forget most details of this book and I feel like reading a new book:)

There are some books I love to read and read again, and again, and again. Most of the time I find that I learn something new everytime I read it. I have the same with movies. You can love a movie, and you can think you have seen everything in the film, but when you look the second time, it's like there are new scenes added to the picture.

I have read 1-6 3 times each, and I have read 7 twice. I reread them all this past spring for the first time in preparation for book 7, but I went through them so quickly, I had to reread them all again in June/July to prep for the release of 7 again! I've read 7 twice since I got it, and I discovered things I missed the first time around....little details that made the ending make more sense. Plus, the second time around, I read it more slowly and enjoyed it more. The first time, i was reading it SOO fast, so I could finish it before ANYONE ruined it for me!! I finished it the Saturday it came out.

I have re-read the 7 Harry Potter book several times... and i think it is but natural to do so if you really like a particular book... for me everythin i re-read the book, i discover something that i missed when i read it the first time or the second time... i don't get tired of reading Harry Potter over and over again and i plan to read it to my baby when she gets old enough to understand...

I've read Philosopher's stone no less than fifteen times. It helps that it can be read in about two hours, ditto Chamber of Secrets. I've read Prisoner of Azkaban about 10 or 12 times, ditto Goblet of Fire. Order of the Phoenix I've read five times, Half-Blood Prince three times and I'm on my second read through of Deathly Hallows right now. There's nothing wrong with going back to books you enjoy and gleaning just a bit more from them. I still find new things to enjoy every time I read through even the early books. I've also read other series and books multiple times, most notably Stephen King's Dark Tower series and Tad Williams' Otherland series. I also read Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle and Breakfast of Champions at least once a month. I have read every single one of his other books at least twice as well. In short, you are not alone, far from it, actually.

Absolutely! I watch movies over and over and I do the same with books. I have read some of my favorite books as many as 8 times or more. For me it is the same - catching stuff you might not have previously, but it is also that I have a movie playing in my head when I read, so it is like watching that favorite movie over and over. I love to read whenever I get the chance!
