Most of them go wasted.they just have some where around 20-30 posts.mylot should delete discussions which are 2 weeks old and have limited responses.

I like to answer people who were nice enough to respond to me. If they answered me in real life, I'd respond to them. The internet shouldn't be any different.

I think a lot of people respond to the ones that interest them most plus of course there are always the controversial discussions. Those seem to be the ones that 'attract' lots of responses because people are rarely neutral and have to say what they think about the topic.
I firstly respond to the ones that appeal to me plus of course the ones from my Friends/Buddies and then I just roll through the others as they come up. It all depends on how much time I have available on myLot.
Sometimes I am online for ages but am also saying a 'thank you' to members who respond to my discussions plus giving a 'best response' as well as a positive (+) if I think someone deserves acknowledgement for their response. When I do this, it does of course reduce the amount of time I have to respond to discussions started by others. :)

I try to answer whatever I can. Some topics just don't interest me and others I prefer not to get involved in at all(i.e. religion, politics). But for the most part, if I think I can come up with a reasonable response, I'll try my best to reply.
There are SO many topics/posts to wade through though, one could spend days on end on this site. LOL
