What have you dropped into the toilet?

I've always been really good about not dropping stuff like my cell phone or my pager in the toilet, when I had one. But recently I dropped my digital camera in the toilet. I was carrying it with me when I went to get some hair ties for my daughter and it slipped. Luckily it dried out and still works fine. But it would have been a costly mistake if it hadn't dried out.

Well, up to now, my cell phone was the only victim, think God!!! And it did dried out and worked just fine until my son took it in his hands and made it pieces....

Oh wow Laura98, you were fortunate. I haven't dropped anything serious, but the problem was where. It was at the fairgrounds and I dropped my sunglasses. I quickly got them out and washed my hands with the sunglasses like never before.lol

After you cleaned it, were you a little grossed out? I've dropped my watch in the toilet, and also the remote to the TV. It wasn't my remote, it was my parents. I don't even remember how that happened, because who takes the remote to the bathroom? : )

I was a little grossed out...but luckily no one had gone to the bathroom when it happened. So it was clean water & I had just cleaned the toilet about an hour earlier. So that helped. I've taken the remote to the bathroom too...to hide it from my husband so he wouldn't change the channel. lol

The only thing that I have ever dropped into the toilet is some coins in the toilet of my own bathroom. I picked the coins up from the toilet and washed them again and again to make sure they smell good with some sweet soap.
I am really so sorry to hear that you dropped your expensive digital camera into the toilet. But you are lucky that it is still in good use.
In my school, I can often hear that some students say their that cell phones have alreay dropped into the toilets, which are different from the toilets that we use in our bathroom. Once the cell phones drop into the toilet, in most cases, their cell phones are out of use because the pipe in the toilet is so deep with water. It takes time to get a dropped cell phone out of the toilet. Eventually, it is no use at all. So I often tell them to pay more attention to their cell phones when they are in the toilet.
It is really upsetting to have something fall into the toilet. The best policy is to be careful not to bring anything with us into the toilet.

I've dropped mostly soaps in the toilet. There was one time I've dropped a razor. hehe. Nothing major though, so it's ok. And I could still have it replaced.
Good thing your camera dried out and is working just fine. I would hate for that to happen to me.

I once dropped my treasured wallet containing my ATM and identity card in a public toilet. That was a very sad day for me. There was very little I could do-the mess was too much and I couldnt even try picking anything. I just ran to my bank and announced the loss of my ATM.

We did something almost that bad to our first Canon PowerShot and it dried out and still works fine as well. Actually, it was plain water, but we didn't know we had dropped it in there for hours, and it was less than a month old at the time. I'm really curious to know what brand your camera was, because it is amazing how resilient some of these cameras are.
The only thing I ever dropped in the toilet was my cat. It was awful. I was taking a really hot bubble bath and the crazy cat jumped in to be with me, apparently fooled by the white foamy bubbles. I thought cats were supposed to hate water! Well I was terrified of it scalding itself and jumped up to scoop the shrieking and writhing cat out of the bathwater and ran to grab a towel, but as I reached for the towel, the soapy cat slipped out or jumped out of my arms and fell into the toilet. It was not a good day for either of us.

It's very funny and gross because i drop my cell phone in the toilet.. ewww!!! and i took it off with my bare hands imagine that. I dried it and it works again luckily there's no major repair. Now i make it a point that i will never put my cell phone in my pocket.

So far I haven't drop anything in the toilet bowl. How I wish this will continue forever as I don't want to neglect it later, especially when I have to buy a new one to replace the one I dropped.

The two most noteworthy items that I have dropped into the toilet are: a watch, and the television remote control. Happily, I put the water-soaked watch in sunlight for some hours and it worked again. The remote control was unaffected, very fortunately.

LOL I guess the worst for me was after a good night out and a *few* drinks. I had to make a dash for the toilet and in my hurry my glasses fell off and went straight down the pan.

Lol. We shouldn't laugh, but it is really funny. I am careful around toilets now after this. On old discussion of mine: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1157836.aspx

i have my celphone in my pocket cause i was expecting a call when i went to the bathroom i forgot about it, so i drop it straight into the toilet when i stood up. it's gross getting it out there but i have to. :) i was worried that it wouldn't work anymore since it was wet from the water. At first it wouldn't turn on but i got a friend who voluntarily fixed it so i was relieved. have a nice day!

Hi Laurla,
Nothing that I can remember! Thank goodness.
My husband travels a lot for work and last weekend when he came home he told me how he knocked his toothbrush in the toilet. LOL
Im thinking pretty hard and I cant ever think of a time when I dropped something in the toilet. Im sure its something, but must not been too important since I cant remember! :)

I actually dropped...MY DOG in the toilet..I was trying to put her into the shower (she hates bath) and we struggled a little and she fell in the toilet..At first I was furious because she jumped out and run all around the house!!! She thought.."that was my bath". After a while, I cleaned up all the mess, took her out in the garden, and gave her a real bath with loads of shampoo!! LOL
