dhoni - the captain

I hope that Dhoni will prove himself a good captain. With his good work and God's grace he had become captain at such early stage of his cricket career. He should make the best out of it. My best wishes are with him.

Well he certainly made an impressive start. He achieved what other great captains of India could no do. He brought home a World Cup. But lets not get hasty here. Remember Sachin Tendulkar in 1997. He won the first 2 tournaments as a captain (Border Gavaskar Trophy and the Titan cup). And then started Indian Team's worst string of losses. It became so worse that the management had no option but to bring Azharuddin back. Lets hope the same thing does not happen to this young Indian side.Lets give Dhoni some more time to settle down. With the Austarlian tour coming up that would be the litmus test for the captaining abilities of Dhoni.

really he can be good captain . He has shown lot of character throughout the series . The way he controlled his boys . the critical decisions he made throughout the series . No doubt , he will be a better captain of Indian Team.

its too early to evaluvate dhonis performance at this stage, ofcourse he has helped india to win twenty twenty world cup for india. But other form of cricket like the 50-50 and test cricket is a differnt stroy and needs a better leader than the one needed for twenty twenty cricket, but that doesnt mean Dhoni is not a good one day or test captain, he just have to prove that he can captian the one day and test team just as effective as he captained the 20-20 side. But its my guess that dhoni will make a good captian.

well i dint think so before,,but after their winnin the cup i think and i saw dhoni havin a cool head and havin the ability to handle the situation thnx and tc keep postin/ratin

Well mate...i want to say that all matches are fixed.... dunno abt ur views....but this is what i feel... so it doesnt matter as to hw good a captian he is.....see if its fixed that India has to lose then dhoni will lead the team in that way....and if its fixed that India has to win the match,then He will captian the match n team accordingly... so basically i wanna say that the true captaincy doesnt reveal out...and gets bogged down under the match fixing scam....

Dhoni will make a good captain offcourse He is having a good attitude towards the game, he can be aggressive in his mind and cool in his behaviour and thats make him a better captain, but do not know whether he will proved to be the best Captain like Ganguly in past
