Household chore you dislike

We all have to do them at one time or another. Ya, those dreaded household chores that we do to keep things in its place. Washing the dishes, washing clothes, ironing clothes, sweeping the floor, washing the toilet, and the list goes on.
Well, i personally like washing the dishes as it is kind of therapeutic, don't you think? Maybe not then. My pet hate then? It would have to be ironing the clothes. Why? Because it gets hot during ironing and sweat would start falling like rain, i kid you not. Even washing the toilet is much better compared.
What to do. The universe has its order. We must keep order in our small 'universe' too. The earth revolves around the sun. The moon revolves around the earth. Our housework revolves around us. For some people, it is the other way around.

The household chore that I dislike is cleaning after the cats and dogs and dusting the furniture.

I hate doing the dishes, but I gladly do the cloth washing and ironing.
Washing the toilet doesnt really irk me, sweeping and cleaing though I feel is such a waste of time compared to the gain lol
But washing the dishes I hate the most. You cant speed through itwithout getting superwet, and its usually filthy like hell... and your fingers proon up lol

Well said, Joshua, 'Our housework revolves around us.'
For me, it's actually not about liking it or not, it's more about my state of mind. It's my state of mind at that point in time which would decide whether I would do the chores or not. I have hardly found myself going for which I would do first or in order of preference. Obviously, when I am happy and in a go-go state of mind I would love anything that would come in my way. I would love doing the dishes, cleaning the room and bathroom and kitchen, hoovering, ironing, doing the gardens and stuffs like that. And trust me, I would do those with finesse.
And when I am down and low, no amount of good work would make be enthusiatic to go for any one of it.
Taking that all thoughts are going right inside my mind and a comparatively happy heart, I think, i would least go for ironing. That , probably, is at the bottom in my list.
Hope to hear from you till then happy doing chores.

For some home managers, their life revolved around their housework. Hey, my best friend also feel the same. When she has no mood, she will defer the weekly house cleaning for a few more days or until she felt like doing it. Wah, doing housework with finesse! I can't imagine that, haha. You take care, Mimpi.

i dont really hate doing anything in the house because i enjoy seeing my house being clean, but what i do hate is cleaning and everyone else just dumping their stuff around. i live with a messy hubby and 2 messy girls (10 & 14) and i am tired of cleaning only to have it trashed shortly after!

I hate to run the vacuum cleaner. I don't like the noise or the vibration it makes or anything about it. Fortunately I married a man who loves to vacuum. I didn't know that before we got together, but it sure was a nice surprise. Because we live in an upstairs apartment the law requires us to have carpeting instead of a nice wood floor. I would not mind washing/mopping a hard floor. It is just vacuuming the carpet that is annoying. I go into another room while he vacuums. Once he was vacuuming the floor during a thuderstorm and I did not hear the thunder, so I did not turn off the computer and lightning struck and ruined it. Yes, I had a surge protector. It was a very big bolt of lightning. Oh, well. Just another reason not to like the vacuum cleaning machine!

Some say that the vacuum is one of humankind best invention. I think you're not one of them, Drannhh. Personally, i quite like vacuum-ing as it is so much faster in zapping dust than sweeping with a broom. But it doesn't seem to be as clean as sweeping though. I always take twice as long sweeping the floor. Probably because i tend to scan the floor for any hair.
On another note, that was probably a very big lightning bolt to toast your computer. But you shouldn't blame it on the vacuum cleaner. Blame it on the rain then.

I hate all chores, but cleaning out the trash cans must be the worst! With four kids things get messed up as qucik as I clean! The older kids will help out but sometimes it is like pulling teeth.
I have a big house and this summer things have gotten out of control. It has been to hot to anything but the very basics. So the rooms that don't have AC haven't really been touched for about a month. It is still hot but in small bits it is managable. So the past week I've moving furniture and cleaning behind places.
I like what you say about order. It is very true, we need order in our lives and that is something I am working on!

A month of not cleaning? If you lived in the tropics like i do, the room would be filled with an inch of dust already, haha. And you would also see spiders, and their homes filled with food in one of those corner of the room. But i think Japan is not as hot as Malaysia.

Your house resembles how's your family.. i strongly believe in that. Yes i agree with you Joshua. Well nothing wrong doing that household chore. I do washing clothes, dishes, sweeping and mopping the floors, washing bathroom, ironing etc.
The one i dislike the most.. is washing bathrooms.. i have 3 bathrooms in my house.. and i wash them once a week.. oh its so tiring.. and 2 of my bathroom is kinda big. But i have no choice i still have to clean it.. Normally i choose Sundays to do that.

Not that I dreaded to do the ironing of clothes but that is the least of the house work chores I prefer doing like you i tend to sweat while I'm ironing clothes maybe because of the weather here. But I'd rather do the laundry without using the washing machine than ironing of clothes.
