Why complain about not getting referrals?

I see so many people being jealeous of people like Oldbuddy because they seem to be unable to get referrals.
I myself am not good at selling let me tell you that.
I'm not a salesperson, I couldn't even sell a cookie for free to a hungry man.
Yet I have many downline in many programs. I used a free to join downlinebuilder for it, some people use sites like myLot or Yuwie to get referrals, some even buy them (what I don't recommend).
You need to find the way that works well for you, it can take a lot of time before you get good at it but if you persist you can get results.
However initially it will take a lot of time and effort and if you calculate time invested versus earnings it will be a low hourly wage. You need to think long term and see the long term benefits of it as well as the leverage a downline brings.

i don't complain about it. but i hope my referrals can be active. you know,it is a bad feeling. when they join under you, then you will be very happy, but they had never logged in the sites you recommended, then you feel very disppointed. frankly, i hope i had never increased referrals at all. if they don't join under me, then i cant have a hope, then i will be calm as usual.
so now i'm disappointed to increase my referrals. and i think i can earn enough money by myself.

People are free beings, you cannot force them to do something you want. You can only encourage them, motivate them and help them. Help people make money and they will help you. Answer to your downline's posts help them make money in myLot and they will answer your posts that's how things work in life, you get nothing for free even not free stuff.

you could give advice to people on how to maximise their earnings with a certain program. Ofcourse it helps to have their contactdetails before they join a program

I also even get jealous of oldbuddy. But not because he has lots of referrals. I am jealous of his strategy and how he get lots of referrals. I mean, I have to be honest with this. I do want referrals too. But I just am not knowledgeable in getting free referrals. It's still fine with me that I have some referrals here in mylot and in some of my other money making programs that I am active. But I do am happy that he has lots of downline. Yeah, it definitely takes time to get referrals or even convince people in joining a particular site. But all it takes is hard work, patience and sales talk. And we're good to go.

Thanks for that advice.. :) I'll try to do that next time when I look for referrals. Actually, in my case too. I just made a blog, posted my link to some social networkings sites that I am a member of such as friendster and myspace. And then poof, I gained some referrals. .:) I hope you'll have more referrals in the future.. Best of luck to you! :)

I agree blogs are a good way to do this, but so is myLot I 'm getting signup just from banners in my profile, I know this because one of the banners I do not promote elsewhere. You are still young (not meant in a negative way) so you'll have the advantage that you gain incredible experience already which is very valuable later.

I don't do any salestalk or convincing at all. What I do is when people join introduce myself (lately haven't been doing this due to lack of time) ask question and offer help.
Once you have a certain relationship with that person and once that person sees that your advice is working, you don't have to do sales talk to move that person to the next program that comes along. They will want to follow you because you have proven to help them earn money.
For myLot you could help your downline by replying to their discussions, for Yuwie you could visit their blogs and other stuff. Helping each other helps you and them earning money. Guide the next signup through the process of making money here. Want you want is duplication of what you do and have your referrals do the same thing to their refs.

Well if you do what you like to do and have a good time than it's easier to make money than if you are doing something you hate

For a free to join site like mylot getting people to join is not as difficult as getting them to be active. Its the activity that brings the income and for you to make something resonable here then you need active referrals. The key to success online is persistence, persistence, persistence all through and the results will will surely come.

Very good advice, and I can only agree on the paid referrals... They only join to get the dow from signing up. Most of the time they dont care about the program they join.
It is hard work especially in the beginning to get referrals, but youll learn fast by experience what works great for you.
Best of luck to u all getting your refs :D

Try not to recruit people. Just participate in forums or sites like myLot, people will see your profile and signup. If you push to hard people will not want to join you. If you help people people will ask you to give them good links to signup to.
