I heard about this type of headache, but I think it decided to be my partner recently.
Last week I woke up in the midnight because of a terrible shooting headache. I sit up and took my head, which was full with questions about all of this besides the pain. I tried to sleep back but it replayed again and again. At last I feared to sleep.
During the next day this pain often occurred suddenly, when I did not counted on it.
The good news, that after I checked my big medical book I diagnosed, that it is seems migraine.
The bad news, that it will stay my partner in life everlasting.
When this pain flashes in my head, I can not move, I only wait while it is end up.
Today it came again to spend a little time with me. I am afraid this day is not finished.:/
Do you know this pain?
What do you do, when you suffer from it?

This never happened to me.
I had headaches, of course, but a headache never woke me up in the middle of the night...I usually go to sleep so I get rid of headaches and it usually works.
If this headache keeps on coming, I think you should really see a doctor.
