new living room furniture that can't be stained or destroyed by children or dogs. Do such things exist?

I would like to get something I did last year. My mom got me and my husband a gift certificate to go out to eat, and babysat the kids so we could go. It was really nice, and something that we dont get to do very often. I hope I get it again this year!

For Christmas, I'd like to have my husband home. But since that is not going to happen, I'd like a quiet day by myself to meditate.
