Google Earth

What are the main benefits of Google Earth, how much time do you spend on it and what are your experiences in using it? Can you see your house?

To me it's more of a fun thing. It's just nice to visit place you can't visit otherwise but it has no real life purpose for me. As for my house the resolution is still to low.
