I take for depression and stuff is...600mgs of Seroquel,,4 mgs a day of Ativan,,100mgs of Lamictal,,and 150mg of Trazodone...that just some of my pills I take but this is what I take from my phsyic Dr. the rest of the pills I have to take is from my family Dr...So what do you take for depression?? Does it seem to help or are you still looking for the right pills that work for you?

Four is a bit much for depression. I take 60mg of Paxil a day. But, Paxil is for other things like anxiety also. It took a long time for me to settle on Paxil, but it works well for me.
Everyone can not tolerate Paxil and there isn't much else that I can tolerate. They had me on Seroquel until I found out that it could cause a fatal disorder. I was talking Trazodone and it caused my left leg to hurt. With Paxil, I had an upset stomach for a month and that was it.

Have you ever looked up all the side effects and warnings of all those pills?
It almost sounds like you're slowly killing yourself...I don't mean any disrespect by that either.
Did you ever try a more alternative natural way of trying to combat this?
I'm so sorry this is happening to you and I hope you take care soon and get well.

Pill are not the right solution for depression. if you can let me know what led to the depression stage perhaps i can guide you. As such I stronly suggest you to read some books by deepack chopra & Try to learn & do YOGA excercises. 1 can bet you will not need pills after a month.

Sorry about the depression. I don't take any medicine if im depressed but i usually drink when depressed. your friends are right, eventually those pills won't help you anymore. try talking it out to a person or someone close to you. it won't be easy to get rid off i know, but it would be better to have somebody than just depending on pills.

I think each person has their own doses and mixture of meds that work for them. It sounds like you are on a major amount but if you trust your doctor and can read you body, you are probably on the right track.
It took me several years and 3 doctors before I found one that didn't want to keep me in a stupour all the time. I want to be able to feel and live at the same time. I am on welbutrin, lamictal and paxil and it works well for me.
Due to major migraines I cannot work but make money on the net and keep busy.

Ah, Depression medications! At the oment I take 100 mgs of Lamictal, and 50 mgs trazodone for sleeping. I take a ton of pills for my heart and only these two for depression. I am starting to wean down from the Lamictal. I was on 20 mgs. of Lexapro but stopped about 3 months ago and I felt better, lol.

i take anti-depressants and also try and live an active life where i can think of things more positive in life. foods high in folate acid and omega3 can also help with brain function. all depression is is a chemical imbalance in the brain. everyone is unique thats why we are human. most people go through it at some point of their lives. keep active is just as effective as taking anti-depressants, ie do something you enjoy. god bless chris.

I took lexapro because I was diagnosed with Mild depression. I stopped when I found out I was pregnant. I lost the baby and I never started back on it.
