I love building a fire in an airtight stove, and putting a teapot of water on top to simmer with orange peels, cloves, and cinnimon sticks! Smells so good!

I love building a fire in an airtight woodstove, and putting a teapot of water on top of the woodstove to simmer with orange peels, cloves, and cinnimon sticks! Smells so good!

I love the city, I think it's a great place to spend (or misspend!) your youth. Of course it has downsides (like A LOT of people) but I love the fact that there is so much to do and see in a city. The countryside would be wonderful to retire to, but I wouldn't like to live there while a youngster.

Yes, even in country life, there's always a buzz of people at certain places, even if you drive to get there!

I prefer country life. I grew up in the country and that is where I want my daughter raised. I think city life has too many people and too much traffic for me.

Rural side is better due to less tensions, nice environment etc
Though yes i would prefer city life, as i have moulded myself, been born in one and there is much scope, oppurtunities and luxury, and advancement in here

Yes, there are more opportunities, luxuries, and advancement in the city. Yet with the internet, this is changing!

I lived in detroit and in newyork now i like in south carolina. I have to say i like the country just more peaceful and quite. Less crime also just more time to myself and the people are nicer.

I've noticed that people are definately on a different pace in country living. I also enjoy the peace and quiet in country life.

I've been stuck in the big city for 16 months and I'm working to earn enough money to go home to the countryside!

I grew up in the City, in a bad part of the City - where you see rats and people getting shot. So I got out. I like to visit the city, but I prefer the burbs, or out in the country. Not that bad things don't happen everywhere, but y'know the whole thing is to be where the bad isn't.

i love to visit the city and live in the country. the only problem is that arizona is growing so fast that after only a year or two, the country turns into a slab of strip malls and traffic jams :(

I guess I would personally have to say that I like both for different reasons. We live in the country now and really like it because it's nice & quiet - don't get bothered by any neighbors - can ride our ATV's around and have fun. But then I do miss living in the city - as everything is so much closer and easier to get to. Plus in the city - it was much easier for our boys to go to a park or friends house - whereas living in the country I have to drive them everywhere.

Those are valid points about driving everywhere when living in the countryside. I loved it when my kids were little, they could play outside safely.

I loved the quality of life in a small town. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone looks out for each other, children have friends and its almost like a big family. I've lived in small towns of 300 people...and the big city was 1,100 people! Theatres in cities seat more people than the population of some towns I've lived in!

Don't I know it - it is so much safer where we live now. We don't have all the hoopla that goes on in the city!!! And yes there's nothing like feeling like a taxi driver everyday when the boys need to go somewhere!!!

I do enjoy the occational trip to the city, however i am always glad to get home to the country. Nothing beats its. It is clean, quiet, you can go outside and see the wildlife, heck you can go outside naked if you want!!! Yeah it is the country life for me. Woot!!!
