I have found that my husband does not support anything I have to do in order to keep my diabeties under control amoung other health problems. I even took it onto myself to go and apply for help so I could get my medications and he told me that it was an embarassment for him to get free meds when he has a job. His job is one that pays $8 an hour in which he is being garnished from for $120 a week leaving him bring home $126 a week if he works a whole week. I am thinking about leaving him in his missory as he is not helping me at all and not even trying. What would you do? hugs

All diabetics need support. Maybe your husband should talk to someone about this disease to be able to understand what you are going through.
I have heard this a dozen times from friends and relatives....
You don't look sick, you don't act sick, so how can you be sick?
It is what he doesn't know that makes him the way he is.
I am a type 2 diabetic and I know what the cost of your medication can come to in a month. I also know how and where you can get it at a very reduced price or often times free. I have a blog your husband needs to read so he can understand how important it is for you to control your blood sugar. It explains what diabetes is , the symptoms, the complications, and much more like how to keep it under control so you can live a long and healthy life. I also have a diabetic recipe blog that has many good tasting recipes that you can try.(Cheesecake, chocolate cake, pizza, etc.) PM me for links to these blogs. Don't be hasty about leaving, he just needs to know more about Diabetes and now is a good time to give him that knowledge.
Have a great day
