Quik! Help Please

Hi, I was recording myself at Singsnap...just to see what I sounded like (hehe) and when I play the recorded song I can BARELY hear the music, but my singing is loud. I have the Master Volume on it turned up, and I tried to put the recording volume half way. But still the music is quiet. Anyone know why?

hello..if you haven't gotten this fixed yet, if you go to the message boards, there is a topic there in the forums called Recording Help & Tips...theres tons of info and help available there. At the top of the 1st page is a sticky category by Peachygurl..a real sweetie BTW..that explains in detail how to set stuff up that might be helpful .. hope this helps. I think I read what you are talking about. But when I tried to do her thing step by step some of the things she mentions, isn't on my computer! So I don't know how to do her thing completely X.X

hmm.. not knowing what settings she mentions that you don't have, it's hard to help.. but I'd suggest going under your sound properties and under playback where it says "wave" or something similar to that, turn that up higher, and on the player itself on Snap while you're recording, there is a slider that says music volume..turn that up some if its not already at the top..and if you're using a mixer to reoord through or anything like that, put that on a really low setting..I have to keep mine on between 0 and 1. Those are the only things I know to check. If you can't find the answer anywhere under the recording help on the boards, post a question under that topic and somebody will try to help you. No matter what problem you're having, rest assured someone, somewhere has been there and done that..and there's a way to fix it! LOL

How do you set for songs in general? Did you set up the Singsnap wizard?...That can "read" what kind of webcam you have and speakers/microphone and set it accordingly...I set it up that way and I have no problem...I have a built in mic/camera in my computer monitor, so when I set up the "wizard" it was able to figure out the correct settings for everything

Yes, I set it up the same way you did. I don't have a camera, but I have a mic you plug in. I know I used the SingSnap wizard, so I don't know what is wrong with it.
