Why don't people intervene when they see someone in trouble?

Maybe this is why. HERO driver Graeme Deacon did not think twice when he saw a woman in a blazing car after a motorway pile-up –he ran across three lanes of traffic and pulled her to safety. But soon after police arrived, he says he was threatened with CS gas, grappled to the ground, handcuffed and put in a cell. The father-of-three is so angry at his treatment by traffic officers that he has lodged an official complaint with Greater Manchester Police. And yesterday Graeme, 38, said: “If this is the way they treat someone for saving others, I would hate to see what happens to real criminals.” http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/20155/Hero-frees-crash-girl-and-is-arrested

Hi Soulsister, That is just amazing! I agree with his statement, its a shame that he was treated so badly for risking his life to save a total stranger. Your right, no wonder people dont step in to help others in need. Im sorry to hear that happened to this man. Bay xx
