How to judge a REAL friend? Have you ever had a best buddy?

Their are sooo many who want yr friendship just for sake of having a larger entourage or you are a rich/b'ful/smart kid..later it goes flat when you really need them,you be by their side at times of need and they just play cold or are just warm when you need them,dont have that extra ounce that makes a friendship make life so worthy and b'ful??

I get that, and luckily I also get to experience it as well.
Funny this discussion is here, I was just thinking about how great my friend Tammy is. I love her like she is my own sister, and she the same for me.
We have been friends for 16 years, and no matter what, she has been there for me and me for her. At least I hope she feels I was there for her. lol We have never had an argument or anything. We always laugh, and even if we disagree we still see eye to eye. Things arent so humiliating or embarassing when Im telling her. No matter how far apart we have lived from one another, wether its 30 miles or 250 miles, we still remain close. She has other friends, that Im friends with too, but they argue and stop talking for periods of time and silly things like that. Im lucky to have her in my life.
You will find that close friend that you can trust and have a great friendship with.

That's nice to hear Bay! I do have a friend whom I can trust. He is currently abroad but we're still communicating. We did have large fights before but we were able to patch things up. I did consider him as my brother and we have always been there for each other.

Hey Bayleigh,pleased to hear that you ahve a gr8 buddy and share a bro-sis relationship with yr pal tammy,you are indeed one of the lucky few who are privileged to have a best buddy and share such an exquisite relationship...no arguments? GR8 cuz me and pals do have then make up being sorry to each other but there are times when ya just cant ignore yr falling-outs,i am sure she too thiks you were there for her,stay this way until ya ive and i wush the best between u and tammy!!

Hello there, metalrex! I'm lad that I have buddies with me. I don't really call them "best." I call them REAL^^ They're with me through good times and bad. We've been together for years, that's why our bond is that strong^^ Uhhmm.. When it comes to "who stand by when millions are against you," I guess it comes in two ways... A true friend would warn you, give special advice and the like when they think it's going to something negative.. But when something's already done, and then people are already against you, a real friend would still be by your side, and help you out when you've fallen down^^ And the other one is, a real friend would be there always, because he/she knows who you really are, and will be there to protect and believe in you no matter what^^ I have experienced both, and I'm glad they were there for me^^And they always are^^

I have mang normal friends who I think can't be called buddy.And now my best friend may be my boyfriend.I tell everything around me to him except one secret that I havn't told to anyone.

A friend is someone who will always be there for you no matter what the world thinks of you. Kind of a cliche but it is true. You may fight but that will make your bond stronger after mending the wound. Oh my! This is becoming a hallmark card. hihi.
