Kaspersky really uses a lot of memory and that is one of the disadvantages of it. You need to have enough SD-RAM when installing this software.
Currently, I have been using Avira Antivirus as my main security software for my machine.
Have a nice day!

Currently i am using McAfee antivirus with Spamkiller since i have installed windowsXp on my system so when i had windows installation the seller adviced me to chose McAfee ....the reason he gave me that it will not effect much on your pc speed as compare to norton and others ..so i said okey .......
so i am pretty much satisfied with Mcafee antivirus now ...........

The Mcafee anti-virus software is the best protected anti-virus software. It is the strongest and warns some virus coming into the system.

I haven't tried using Nod 32 but if it works for you and for many, I might give it a try soon. As for me, the anti-virus that I am using at the moment is AVG 7.5 Free Edition.. from avast to avg.. I don't have any complaints at all. It works fine for me.. "_,) SOon, I will definitely buy an original and compete antivirus to fully protect my computer from all those viruses , trojans,etc.. Best of luck to you!

I use norton internet security. It does a great job keeping viruses away and spyware, however it slows the internet and the computer down unfortunately. security is very important so i don't mind it slowing the computer down that much.

Eset's NOD32 is very good. the problem is that it uses a very stringent and wide detection so it results in some false positives at times
kaspersky is also very good. excellent detection rate, support is also very good. and contrary to what people here have said, it doesn't use that much system resources as compared to Norton (on a scale of 1-10 -- 10 being the most resource hog -- norton would be an 8 and kaspersky a 3)
however, in reviews and personal experience, bit defender is the best. detection rate and support is very good and just about the same with kaspersky. whats make it number 1 is that its more reasonably priced (25 USD as compared ot 50 USD for kaspersky)

take note though that its only a review of paid anti viruses, it does not include freeware anti virus software

I personally use Avast. Previously I used AVG but it didn't managed catch some of the latest virus and trojans therefore almost render my PC useless. Then I decide to use Avast. It has protected my pc so well up until now and best of all it's free. And unlike Kaspersky or Norton, it's not a memory hog, and you can still do other things while it sat quietly at the back scanning your system. The virus definition database is updated regularly too. I highly recommended using Avast
