do you like a dog?

Hi, I love my dog, his name is Shiloh. When he was a young puppy (only about 12 weeks old) little kids grabbed him by the back legs and swung him around in circles. He was brought to my mom (who was at the time a caretaker for sick or injured or heavily abused animals). She took him to the vet and the vet explained that since the abcesses were so large, and the dog was so young, the only thing they could do was soak the injuries, give pain medicine and watch him either heal or die. The vet explained that the dog probably wouldn't live another week, it was in such terrible condition. But we didn't put it down, we gave him a chance. Now, the dog is 3 years old and has joint problems in his hind legs. Since then I followed in my mothers footsteps and began taking care of injured or ill canines. I am currently in college for canine obedience training and instruction and hope that things shoot off from their. Dogs are my life. The dog now lives with my husband and me. He's a yellow lab X terrier (yes mixed), and his name is Shiloh. Of course, his name came from two places, one the beagel Shiloh from the books and movies, and second, the Battle of Shiloh, as it was a very heavy battle for him and everyone else to keep him alive. Thank God he's still here! And God bless those who really helped out in the situation and all of the support we recieved. :)
